She quickly walked to the bathroom. She looked around her and checked at least twenty times to make sure that nobody was following her. She couldn't risk being overhead, not in a situation like this.
"Why are you calling me? Didn't I mention that I would be busy today? Or you think you are strong enough to face my wrath?", she asked in a cold voice.
"I would have never called you even if the underworld was on fire, but it is very urgent ", came the reply.
" Well, if I don't find it urgent enough then you are going to pay ",she hissed.
"It's about Erica", the person answered in a hushed voice," She escaped".
" How the.... Didn't I ask you all to keep her under close observation? ... Send out all our special forces, along with the leaders...I am coming within an hour", she commanded in a deadly voice.
"Yes, your command will be taken care of. We will act upon it, immediately", replied the voice, and the phone disconnected.
"First, the stupid kiss and now this Erica.. What the heck is happening to me today?", she said, stomping her feet in anger.
"Are you there, Lucy?", came a voice. The groom's sister appeared moments later. It was clear from her expression that she had heard nothing. But Lucy had to make sure.
"I was outside. I just came in moments ago", she lied.
There was no change in her expression. Lucy took a sigh of relief.
"Well, we need the bride to cut the wedding cake, and we certainly cannot have the cake cut in a bathroom", said she.
"Actually, I need to go somewhere.... It's urgent..Can you please cover up for me? I will be back within an hour ",said Lucy.
" Are you literally planning to skip your own wedding?",she said, aghast.
"I have got to. It is very important. Just cover up for me... won't you?",Lucy said, hopefully.
"Well, ok", said she said and walked out of the bathroom.
"You are going to regret this, Erica",she said to herself, with a devil smile on her face.
