Alexander was really tired. The day had been so long for him. All he wanted for now was eat some food and sleep tight. And come to think of it, he had not eaten anything since he woke. But why didn't he feel hungry at all? He had just eaten an apple and yet he felt so full. Had he eaten a whole cow before he was poisoned?
Pushing the thoughts at the back of his mind, he quickened his pace and he could now see his room a few steps away. So much was going through his mind and all he wanted was to rest. The food could wait. He saw a maid coming his way with that shy look on her face. She was holding her hands nervously and he could see she wanted to say something, so he halted right on the door to his room.
"Your Highness?" She called and walked close to where he was.
"Yes," he said, irritated. He was missing his bed so badly and this was maid was distracting him right now. If only she knew!
"I… I wanted to tell you… I.."
