On the floor of the sidewalk, a man could be seen sitting with his legs spread. From time to time, he would throw kicks in the air while grumbling.
"Am I going to die single? That can't be! I don't want to die a single! I want to go to parks and beaches with a girlfriend. We can hold hands, ride a Ferris wheel and kiss after reaching the top. We could also swim and play in the water together while making sand castles. If we saved up enough money, I want us to go to Paris where I will propose to her!"
At first, the man was complaining about his singleness but when he speaks about the possible dates he could go on with a girlfriend, he started smiling from ear to ear with a stupid and dreamy look on his face.
The pedestrians made sure to avoid him, thinking that he was losing his mind. Many of them threw him a judgemental glance as if they are taking pity on the parents of this man.
"How good life would be if I finally met the woman of my life? BUT!!"
The man on the floor started raising his voice, surprising the innocent pedestrians. Some of them even flinched before glaring at him.
"... why am I still single? Am I that bad? No, the world is just unfair!"
The way this man's mood swings was as fast as a racecar. One moment, he's depressed, the next he'll smile from ear to ear just to return to being depressed again.
"Aish! Zesther, what the hell are you doing?! I told you to wait outside the store obediently!"
Zesther's friend immediately pulled him up after seeing his current state as he apologized to the bystanders around for the embarrassment that his friend brought.
"Look at you! Why did you sit on the ground?!" Jayden grumbled as he shakes off the dirt on Zesther's pants. It made him feel like he was taking care of a child.
However, while Jayden was simply trying to be a good friend, Zesther held his cheeks.
"W-what are you doing?" Jayden asked as his friend creepily stared into his eyes.
"Jayden, be honest with me! Am I going to die single?" Zesther asked while holding his breath as if he was bracing himself to receive bad news.
"Pweh! Can't you talk properly? Your saliva is all over my face!" Jayden complained while removing Zesther's iron grip on his cheeks to wipe the saliva that splashed on his face.
"W-why are you not answering? Y-you think that I'm gonna die single, right?"
Zesther dramatically took a step back as if his world just crumbled in front of him and while trying to calm himself, Jayden uncapped the bottle of water he just bought.
"Drink this before I throw the water on your face" Jayden said as he placed the bottle in front of his friend that is currently a pain in the ass.
Honk! Honk!
Sereena that was watching the scene in amusement was awoken by the honking sound. When she turned her head back to the road, she found out that the previous red light is now a green light.
She was too focused on watching the spectacle on the side of the road to notice that causing the driver behind her to honk.
While shaking her head, Sereena drove her car again while chuckling at that man she saw on the sidewalk.
"He's amusing..." Sereena muttered. That's exactly the kind of man she wants.
The softer the man is, the better. She likes those that are silly, vulnerable, and amusing. They are the kind of men that could easily be manipulated to cry and no doubt that they will look sexy with tears in their eyes, especially when defiling them.
While thinking of that, Sereena unconsciously licked her lips.

The next day
Zesther awakens with a bad headache, the cause is definitely the alcohol he drank last night. He groaned as he squinted his eyes. The bright light above him hurt his eyes causing him to rub them.
When his vision finally adjusted to the bright light, he stared at the ceiling for a few moments before yawning.
His stomach soon grumbled and he went out of his bed to get something to eat. When he exited his bedroom and entered the living room, he saw three people already sitting in front of the dining table.
"There he is..." a familiar voice entered Zesther's ears and it came from his friend; Jayden.
"Ah? Jayden? What are you doing here this early?" Zesther asked causing his friend to sneer at him.
"So you don't remember anything from last night? You really are something" Jayden muttered while clicking his tongue. His friend gave him a headache the whole night yet he can't even remember the things he did.
"Last night?" Zesther muttered and he tried to refresh his memory and that is when he remembered all the things he did.
Sitting on the sidewalk is just one of the embarrassing things he did. There were other embarrassing things that he did such as asking a fire hydrant if it could be his girlfriend, shouting at the loving couple he met on the road, and puking on the shoes of a random man.
"Oh no! Oh no! What have I done?" Zesther uttered with a terrified expression on his face. He cannot believe the things he did last night and he felt like he would die from embarrassment.
"So you remember now?" Jayden said with a sneer and Zesther looked at his parents that are keeping their silence.
He swallowed a mouthful of saliva before walking fast to reach them. After reaching his parents, Zesther directly kneeled on the floor.
"Ma, Pa, I'm sorry, I won't ever drink again" Zesther said the line that all people say after doing something stupid when drunk despite knowing that after some time, they will start drinking again.
"Forget it, you never gave us any trouble growing up. Maybe this is a good thing for you" Zesther's father; Erwin Callisto replied and his mother; Minea Callisto nodded her head.
At first, Zesther thought that he was let off the hook but his mother suddenly used the fork in her hand to aggressively pierce the innocent pancake on her plate.
"But even if you do cause trouble, must it really be in public or something this embarrassing? I would rather you go and start a fistfight, at the very least, people would think that boys do that from time to time! Why do you have to scream all night about how pitiful you are?! Do you not care about our neighbors at all? Do you not care if they can't sleep because of you?!"
Zesther pitifully lowered his head while muttering words of apology. He knew that he was in the wrong and he vowed to never ever touch alcohol again!
"Gosh, forget it, scolding you is boring, you always apologize immediately and admit that you are wrong! If it was other kids, they would complain, be hardheaded and think that they are right" Minea said after her son just accepted her words as usual.
"Then does mom want me to do that? Should I sulk and hole up myself in my room?" Zesther suggested jokingly and Minea can only shake her head.
"Just seat, I made soup for your hangover"
At that, Zesther stood from the floor and hugged his mother lovingly before sitting on the chair next to Jayden.
"Sigh... if only my mom is like you, aunt. No matter what I do, she always shouts at me without listening to my side" Jayden said with a deep sigh, envying the relationship that Zesther has with his parents.
"That's because you always give them trouble! Try to be more like me!" Zesther said with a boastful tone causing Jayden to roll his eyes.
"Ah, right, it's Sunday today. Do you want to play badminton with me?" Zesther asked and Jayden shook his head with a sigh.
"I can't, I have to go to work later"
At that, Zesther raised his eyebrows. "It's sunday, why do you have to go to work?"
"It's because of my evil boss!" Jayden answered with a groan. "After we submitted the draft of a script to her, do you know what she said? Garbage! She said that our script was garbage and that if we only know how to do things by the book and copy what other companies do, we don't have a future in the industry! I mean, even if she doesn't like our work, must she really say something like that? Since the salary and benefits are good, we don't want to lose our jobs and we can only work even on a Sunday!"
"Your new job is at Alferra Cosmetics, right? It seems like the CEO was not simply lucky to achieve what she had. Hehehe, serves you right for having an evil boss" Zesther said playfully while sticking his tongue out.
