"W-What happened to me?" Arthur asked as he awoke from his slumber.
"Oh, you've finally decided to wake up," said Yosel who was sitting beside Arthur as he looked after him for the past 2 weeks.
"How long have I been asleep for? It feels like I've slept for at least 5 days," said Arthur to which Yosel laughed.
"You've been sleeping for 2 straight weeks. It seems like all the pressure you put your body in finally caught up to you," said Yosel in a joking manner.
"Anyway, I think I'm ready to train again. What do I do now?" Arthur asked with excitement.
"Where did all this motivation come from? Is there a reason why you want to become powerful all of the sudden?" Yosel asked to which Arthur shook his head in disagreement as he lied to Yosel as there was no way that he would tell him that his plan was to go to hell to train there as well.
"Okay, I guess your personality just changed over time. Not that I can blame you. You're finally able to live outside of that basement," said Yosel before thinking for a second and getting an idea.
"Well, I don't think training all day every day is good for your mental health so how about we take the next week or two to get you to do something else," said Yosel who he, himself wanted to train Arthur to his maximum potential however Arthur was already getting close to that and even so, Lucifer had yet to make his move.
"Do you have something in mind?" Arthur asked as he wanted to know why Yosel was so against training all the time.
"Well, yes technically. Although it would be unfair to your enemies since you're so strong, I want you to have fun so let me take you to a fun place," said Yosel as he snapped his fingers together and the two of them arrived at a place which seemed to have been a carnival.
"What are we doing here? It seems like a place for kids," said Arthur to which Yosel turned back to him.
"It seems you've forgotten but you're still technically a kid," Yosel replied before leading the way to a place that he wanted to show to Arthur.
"This is the country's magic competition. It allows anyone of any age to enter and battle against their age group to see who's the best magic user in the country," Yosel began to explain.
"The age groups are divided into 3 parts. Ages 0 to 10. Ages 11 to 20. Then lastly, anyone older, however, after the winner from each category is selected, they are placed in a ring where the 3 of them will compete for the title of the strongest magic user in the country," Yosel explained.
"Do you want me to enter this thing and show off? Is that why you brought me here?" Arthur asked in a rather bored voice.
"I'm not here to show you off, it's so that you can be proud of yourself for coming so far. After all, I'm currently being hunted by the council of sorcery so there would be no point in me coming here to show off," said Yosel to which Arthur nodded and the two went up to sign up.
"Hello there," said a young lady which seemed to be no older than 20 as she spoke to Yosel.
"Hi, I just want to sign him up from the contest that's taking place this week. His name is Arthur and is 16 years old and would like to compete to see if he is going to earn the title of the strongest magic user in the country," said Yosel to the young lady who let out a gentle laugh which wasn't to mock Arthur but Arthur still took it that way.
"Relax Arthur, you can let out your frustrations in the battle," Yosel whispered in Arthur's ear.
"Here's your number," said the young lady as she passed Arthur a ticket before waving goodbye to them.
"Where are we going now?" Arthur asked as he couldn't way to fight someone.
"Just follow me," said Yosel as the two continued to walk until they had reached a giant colosseum area where they were greeted by two men in medieval armour as they tried to fill the part of guards. Although at first they seemed intimidating, they were nice people and allowed Yosel as well as Arthur to pass through.
"This place is filled with so many nice people, are you sure they won't get mad at me if I go too far?" Arthur asked wondering how much he should hold back by.
"Don't worry Arthur, this is nothing but a front everyone puts up. Once they see a match take place, All of them turn into animals as they cheer while two opponents try to kill each other. This place is filled with mentally sick people, that's why it's so beautiful. The natural instincts of humans are activated here," said Yosel with as smile as the two reached their seats and watched as exactly what Yosel said took place.
Two people who seemed to be fighting as if their lives were on the line were on the stage and the spectators were cheering and shouting at the top of their lungs.
At first this terrified Arthur as he was not prepared to see something as sickening as that however soon after, a grin appeared on his face as well as Yosel's.
Yosel's grin was from what he was watching as his natural instincts kicked in and he enjoyed the battle taking place in front of him. However Arthur on the other hand. His grin was caused by something else.
He was far too excited to completely annihilate his opponents. He couldn't help but feel the urge to jump into the battle and kill both of the people fighting there and announce himself as the true victor.
Now more than ever, Lucifer and Arthur's souls were aligned as they both had the same goal.
To destroy.
