Chereads / My Lust Booster System / Chapter 30 - Upside down

Chapter 30 - Upside down

Though it was an opportunity for Morrin to put her plans in actions, she couldn't imagine doing it on expense of Brunos's death.

'He's not dead.' She assumed.

If... if he was dead, the culprit was in front of her, exposed for her sword to fly and impale her chest.

She tightly held its hilt and used it to stand up. She didn't wait for Amellia to notice her actions. Instead, She hurried to stock all her strength in her right arm; Amellia was far away from her.

Morrin's eyes glowed purple.

She looked at her long sword that was emanating purple light on its full, and threw it toward Amellia right after.

As if Amellia had eyes on her temples, she sent her left arm slashing into the air to launch a ball at Morrin's sword.

When they collided, an explosion created a mixture of purple light and fire, Morrin's sword falling on the ground as a result.

"I'm too beautiful to allow such a cheap thing to stab me."

At Amellia's words, Morrin clenched her hands into fists, dismissed her fragiled wings and rushed in her direction.

Amellia didn't allow her to take a third step.

A fire ball landed inches amidst her feet, then another then another.

"I can see you're in hurry to die," said Amellia. "Don't worry! I'll make sure to blow off your head like you did to my fellows. Now, stay right there and watch what I have to do first."

When Amellia looked away and took a step toward Brunos, Morrin took a step too. However, before her foot could touch the ground, a fire ball dug a hole beneath it.

"Last warning!"

Morrin lowered her head and her shoulders slumped. She could bring herself to watching while Brunos gets killed if... if he wasn't dead already.

Why weren't Four Auburns coming to her rescue? Didn't they see the bombarded houses?

If only she could tell them telepathically.

She could only do that with Fellene whom she didn't trust at the moment. He had sent her to kill Brunos the night before. How could she tell him to come and save Brunos? Wasn't he even behind what was happening?

Unfortunately, she heard him asking access to her mind. Could she reject him for the second time?

She gave him the access and called, "Master!"

"Where are you?" asked Fellene, panicky obvious in his tone.

***

Minutes ago, Brunos had come up with an idea. Since his goal to make Amellia get tired seemed impossible, since he was the one getting tired instead, he decided to make a gamble.

Fake defeat.

By pretending he was hit by one of her balls, she would maybe lower her guard. That's when he would strike.

However, his plan didn't work as exactly as he wanted.

The first step was to bite his wrist. After sucking out some blood, he would grab a stone, groan and fall to the ground.

Instead of grabbing a stone, he tripped over it, fell face-facing the ground, and probably broken some bones. Why else was he feeling pain if not for broken bones? The pain was something like the day Hulk, the Fat guy who killed him, threw him out of his mansion.

"Do you still want an answer for your question?" he heard Amellia asking from tenths of metres away. He could hear some tick tuck sounds.

'She's approaching.'

He panicked.

His plan was to throw a stone to her once she lowered her guard. Now he didn't have a stone let alone throwing it to her.

Plan B.

If she dodges stone, rise to your feet and launch to her too early for her to create another barrier. However, he had broken some bones. He couldn't stand.

Could he?

The thought of it made him grit his teeth.

Wait!

Why did he assume he had broken some bones?

Pain is a child with too many fathers. A wound might be the culprit or maybe just a scratch. You might even feel pain out of mindset or sometimes, out of nowhere.

If it was mindset, he tried to imagine that he wasn't feeling any pain. But the pain remained.

"What a pity!" Amellia's voice again. There was no sign of exhaustion in it. "Since you are fond of interrogation, I thought you like getting answers too."

For a second, Brunos's mouth fell open. He wanted to ask her what kind of a question she was talking about. Instead of words, blood rushed out, too much than he had sucked out of his wrist.

Now he knew who was the father to the pain he had been feeling.

His teeth had dug into his lower lip, too deep to send a pain notification to his brain.

'Now I can get up!'

"It's not what I got," Amellia voice again; a few meters away this time. "This is time I show you what I really got."

'Oh! That was the question.'

Brunos gathered all his strength, feeling his mood changing from pessimism to optimism. Soon, he was full of beans, able to again ask Amellia if that's what she got.

"How about I show you what I got instead?" he asked jumping to his feet, directly turning around to face her.

He didn't give her a chance to answer. His right foot stepped forward, his left one imitating its brother.

Caught by surprise, Amellia threw the ball in her right hand to Brunos in hopes of annihilating him. When he dodged it, she sent two more but to no avail.

His speed was dramatic.

If not for the balls which were slowing him, he would have reached her in a second.

She sent five more balls almost at the same time, then started rotating her arms to create a formation.

Brunos saw five balls and stopped. They were too close for him to step aside or dodge in any easy way. To put things on a difficult level, Amellia had listened to his advice. Aiming for his legs, head and... and...

'No! Focus!'

'Amellia has shot Lilyon. She had to pay for it.'

Brunos stood like a statue, staring at the incoming fire balls with an analysis look.

Without moving any of his other body parts, he bent his head to the left side a little, jumping to save his legs almost at the same time. Before his feet could touch the ground again, two close balls threatened to hit his chest. He didn't wait for them to do so, or for his feet to kiss the ground. He instead rotated his body stopping half way so he could hide between them.

Though it didn't even take a second for them to pass past him, he felt like time had stopped. This was one of those scenes that movie editors choose to put in a slow motion.

If it was a war movie, they would be bullets on screen, one passing near his eye, another below his feet, then two more bullets one behind him another in front all at the same time.

As soon as Brunos landed, the fifth fire ball was a few centimetres from his face. He bent backwards a little, directly returning into his former state.

He didn't take a pause to praise his unbelievable performance. After all, one is able to win an Oscar Award when a movie is finished and distributed.

He doubled his speed, this time no balls to restrict him because Amellia's hands were busy trying to create a heat barrier.

Brunos could bet Amellia didn't know what the Fuck. But that's what he could see on her face as she saw him dodging her balls and shooting toward her with a hand clenched into a fist ready to punch life out of her.

The rotation of her arms stopped, but before she could connect them to form another ball, Brunos's fist landed on her left shoulder, another on her right one.

Brunos didn't know why the shoulders. Was it because he considered face sacred? He hated it when he was ugly. He didn't want to be a root cause for someone's ugliness.

Kill her, but don't give a reason to come for revenge. If he could kill her in a way that showed kindness, maybe her soul would rest in peace instead of plotting plans to escape afterlife and come for revenge.

Amellia's arms were still in air.

When Brunos's Super Speed punches hit her shoulders, she trembled and fell backwards, her arms in a surrender-position too weak too move.

"Do you still want to answer my question?"

Instead of an answer, blood bubbled out of her lips, her blue eyes showing no sign of defeat. No one could see a tired expression on her face.

Why?

[Activate Inspection Ability.] Brunos ordered the system.

He skimmed over her stats to see if he could know the reason behind her tireless body and there it was.

[21 human souls consumed.]

Wait!

Was a human soul that powerful? Was it the reason why those demons were desperate to go to earth to arouse men?

"I'll suck your soul!" he remembered Lilyard's words back on earth.

"Why?"

"Because I'm a succubus," she answered. "I need souls to become beautiful and strong, to live longer, and to be able to produce offsprings."

The conversation went on for a few more minutes, but before he could get more information, Lilyard interrupted it with a kiss then a passionate love making.

At that moment, Brunos realized he could reflect to his conversations with Lilyard to learn more about these realms.

She never told him explistly about the realms. Maybe because she didn't want to reveal her plan to him. But she would suggest names for characters in his stories, places like Crimson Castle and so many other things that Brunos had not seen yet.

'OK!' his I'm lucky smile appeared on his face again.

As for now, Brunos needed to borrow Morrin's sword. He could think of nothing else but to behead Amellia. If she couldn't answer his questions, he needed to kill her so the longing to ask would diminish.

"Morrin, I..."

"Brunos!" Lilyon's weak voice interrupted him. He turned to look at her not believing his ears. Maybe they were deceiving him. How could her voice sound like his mom's an hour before her death?

He thought the Petite had cured her.

Finally, his eyes were staring at Lilyon, his expression bitter as a karela.
