Chereads / My Lust Booster System / Chapter 16 - Super Speed

Chapter 16 - Super Speed

When Brunos opened his eyes, he thought they deceived him. He had never got a chance to stare at drone art for real before. What else did this second life have in store for him? The display in the sky was magnificent. If it was a drone light show on Earth, it would have broken the record. Never in his life had he seen so many colours at the same time. Maybe that's why his heartbeat became so loud.

He thought it would be better if it flew, not hanging in the air like a drawing. As if there was some connection between the butterfly and him, the shape started moving, and in seconds, the butterfly flew. The first time he watched a video of drone art, his mind refused to believe humans could do such a thing. It looked like a photoshop to him. But now he did it himself. Did it with his abilities, not drones.

"Oh my!"

His arms were still hanging in the air, his hands directed at the art in the sky. However, he was too amazed to care about the pain.

The speed kept increasing, the wings became natural in their flipping, and everything was just as his mind was commanding. He didn't fail to feel the exhaustion that kept increasing as the butterfly features became more and more real.

However, while still enjoying the view, the butterfly started to become wider and wider, and the view became blurry.

'No! Don't fade away please! Not before Valeria sees you!' He muttered whatever came into his mind, but the shape kept fading.

If he didn't do something as quick as possible, he could tell it would fade away before it even reached the castle. Of course it was soaring through the sky and everyone around could witness it. But all he wanted was for Valeria to see it. Maybe she had seen it. But he wanted it to linger for a while so he could be sure she did.

He closed his eyes and allowed his body to feel at ease again. The connection between them remained. He didn't know what he intended to do and how, but he knew there was something he could do.

He printed its picture in his brain, a picture he controlled subconsciously. To his luck, when he opened his eyes again, the view was more fascinating than before. More natural that he thought he was staring at a giant butterfly flying above the lands, it's circumference larger than Wembley stadium. Without exhaustion, he could have enjoyed the view longer.

As he fell on his back, lying still and unable to even lift his hands to muffle the the noise from demons at the castle, a familiar voice resonated in his mind—so soothing and joyful.

"It's been long!"

'Yeah!' Brunos replied as he searched for right words to tease Dollian. 'And I hope you have missed me.' He added.

"Didn't you?" Her answers always came as soon as he would finish his sentences.

"That was fast. But I'm an idiot, remember? I don't think a goddess of virtue would like being missed by an idiot. " Brunos knew he was being stubborn. But he had to ease his pain. To make his mind drift away for a minute. Maybe it would help him recover soon.

"He he!" Dollian's laughter felt pleasant in his ears. He could imagine a beauty laughing like that. Why a beauty? He could tell his obsession with beauties would get him in trouble. He couldn't control his dirty mind whenever in presence of a beauty. It might have had something to do with being with Lilyard all those years.

"Of course you're an idiot," replied Dollian. "But several steps ahead of other idiots."

Brunos liked the idea of Dollian joking along. It made him love the Lust Booster system more. Never in his life did he imagine talking to a goddess. He has even never liked religion. His misery always made him think God did not exist. But now that he had witnessed all those things, he became a true believer.

"What's the intention of this visit?" He wanted to know why Dollian was there. Would she come to just chat with him?

"You've ignored system notifications and you don't want to explore it. I thought it's good if I announce it to you myself." She answered. "I'm here to congratulate you." She used her receptionist voice. "Congratulations!"

"For what?" Brunos tried to think of any reason to be congratulated especially by Dollian. None! "I don't have time for exploration," he added.

"For your remarkable achievement today." Dollian explained, leaving Brunos with no time to ask about that achievement. "You've completed the night quest two hundred percent. Something no other host has never done before since the establishment of our organization."

"What do you mean by two hundred percent?"

Brunos was confused. 'The night quest? The one to revive long lost feelings?

But I didn't!'

"You did, Brunos." Dollian interrupted his thoughts. "It's Valeria. It's been two hundred years since you last saw her. The quest only required ten years, remember? Now she's desperately looking for you."

Dollian's explanation didn't make him less confused. If it was Valeria, did it mean she was now happy and sorrowful at the same time? How and why were the questions. But he no longer had time for that. His girls were in danger. But now that Dollian was there, it was his only chance to ask for help.

'My friends are in danger. Do you have any way to help?' Asked Brunos, not expecting a no. What was he going to do then?

"But don't worry!" Dollian assured. "You've won a hidden ability for completing the quest. As a reward for achieving beyond our expectations, we've decided to give you their list and let you choose any you want. You also have ten hours to test each ability before choosing. I hope it saves your friends."

Brunos didn't have time to waste. At this point, any delay could end up costing him one of his girls. 'Give me the list!" He demanded.

1. Telekinesis

2. Telepathy

3. Prylokenesis

4. Teleportation

5. Super speed...

When his eyes landed on Super Speed, the Flash's images came into his mind.

"This will do." He said aloud as he stood up, not bothering to continue reading. "Fellene, I'm coming for you!"

As soon as he finished those words, his body changed starting with his eyes. His vision became clearer and stronger, his muscles more flexible and his brain faster.

Like he had done while creating the butterfly, he allowed his body to feel at ease once more. He listened to his intuition, and like a shooting star he ran down the hill. After seconds, he could see the fight in front of him.

The succubi guards stood aside enjoying the fight as if the Pegrinan brothers had told them not to intervene. Their strengths had been diminished because their wings were fragile, but they still threatened Lilyon's team.

A few seconds before they noticed him, Brunos charged at Pagern, whose leg was about to stamp on Eleanor, who lay exhausted on the ground.

"No killing." Brunos told himself. "Teach them a lesson they won't forget."

At that moment, his hand landed on

Pagern's cheek. Caught by surprise, Pagern turned left to look at who slapped him. Instead, he felt another slap on his other cheek followed by a push that sent him colliding with Zeal.

"What the..."

Not giving Zeal time to finish his sentence, Brunos slapped his left cheek, swooshed around him and slapped the right one. He continued swirling around him until the incubus became dizzy.

"Fly!" He yelled at Lilyon.

Lilyon ran to Eleanor asking, "Where?"

"Somewhere safe."

She crunched beside Eleanor and shook her. "Wake up!" Eleanor directly rose to her feet taking away Lilyon's worries before they flew away.

'Now Lilyon and Eleanor are safe.'

'The Petite.'

Brunos stood still and scanned his surroundings to find her. As a result, succubi guards charged at him.

"These are not my enemies." He told himself, and continued looking for the Petite. "Apply hit and run! Don't fight with these guards."

Only Fellene had to pay for what he did to him early. He reminded himself as he charged at Fellene. First punch, second, third...

Brunos kept counting his punches. He didn't know how many Fellene owed him, but at least ten would be justice served considering the weight they now carried due to his super speed ability.

Fellene staggered backwards. "I can't stop until you fall." Brunos yelled amazed by the lighting like lines he left behind as he ran. When the ninth punch landed right near Fellene's left eye, he lost his balance and fell to his back with a thud sound.

Brunos hovered over Fellene for seconds to let him know it's not the right thing when a student doesn't know who his teacher is. How can he know who to thank?

The Petite lay down wiggling unaware of what had happened. In that instant, Brunos picked her bridal style before shooting in the air leaving a blue beam behind.

He could feel the Petite struggling to breakthrough. Assuming she still didn't know it was him, he looked at her to say, "It's OK!" When he lifted his gaze from her, a huge tree stood waiting for him. He struggled to dodge it but his speed was super. All he could do was throwing the Petite aside.

"At least she is safe." He said to himself after crushing unto that tree. Everything went black that he thought it was his death. But Fellene had other plans.

"Brunos," He heard Fellene's voice. "Now it's over." What could he do about it? He lay waiting for whatever Fellene intended to do. Happy that at least his girls were safe. Sad that Lilyard's life had gone for nothing. 'God... I still want to live. The Succubi Realms have countless beauties. Many lands I want to explore. Many things I would like to know. My good Lord, please!" He silently prayed.
