She didn't mind the punishment of being locked up in her room without pen or paper, for it gave her time to bask in the satisfaction of knowing that her mother had been exposed for her wrongdoing.
Her room was decorated in ivory and a tint of blue, with luxurious curtains that hung from the tall windows, allowing the morning light to filter in.
A plush bed sat in the middle of the room, with fluffy pillows and a soft comforter that seemed to invite her to stay a little longer. Beatrice lounged on the bed, staring up at the ceiling, letting her thoughts wander.
