EARLIER ON,
Far away in a burrow, a skinny young man dressed in a black robe hurried through the darkness holding onto a lamp that made his journey easy.
After several turns, he stopped before a large rock that seemed like it was crafted on the wall. It bore signs and symbols that were of an ancient language.
Holding up the lamp, the young man touched the wall with his other hand. His eyes glowed in wonder and a smile rested on his face quite nicely.
Glinting his eyes like one who had regained himself and remembered the primary reason that had brought him there, he reached his hand into his pocket bringing out a pocket-sized book.
His hands shook as he did, not as one who feared but as one who was eager. He flipped the pages till he stopped at one.
Lifting his face to the wall again, he dropped the lamp and moved the book to that hand. He placed his right hand on the wall and began reading out some strange words repeatedly.
Sand commenced falling from the wall as cracks appeared in different spots. The writings on the wall glowed silver as the man continued. The ground on which he stood began to rumble making him unsteady yet he showed no fear.
He shut his eyes to concentrate deeper and accomplish his will. Not long after the entire cave began to move, it felt like an earthquake was in progress.
It all stopped once he stopped.
He opened his eyes and there was grave silence. Wondering if his hard work had paid off, he waited patiently for a sign and he got one, only not the one he had expected.
There was a strong wind that breezed him away. He had hit his back against a rocky wall and fell to the ground, coughing.
Lifting his head, he could see as the dust settled that something had ruptured out of the wall. He blinked his eyes to clear his vision while still lying on the ground.
There he was– the sign. A being had fallen on his face just outside the hole in the wall and seemed too weak to stand.
The young man got up and dragged his hurting right leg which seemed broken as he walked to help the being he had raised.
"Are you fine? Can you see me?" The man asked while attempting to turn the body.
"I have heard and read of your magnificence. Your legendary tales. The wizard vampire next to god. Unjustly you were imprisoned here because they couldn't see the truth in your vision but I do. I do…
Today I free you to complete the mission, cure the world of its madness, and be the god we need and not the one we cannot see. Save us, Lord Lucas! Save the world!" The young man said, finally turning the being over.
"Oliver. The one who is to save me…." The being voiced very weakly.
Lucas' face was scrawny and parched and his hair– few. He was dressed in a weird outfit that was too torn to do the work of clothing.
"Yes, master," Oliver responded gladly.
"Give me strength, Feed me… the pure one– lives," Lucas spoke.

PRESENT DAY.
–
KEIRA'S ROOM.
Naomi and Willow stood on both sides of her bed with their eyes shut. They had their hands lifted and curved before their chests with their elbows sharply pointed at their sides.
The fingers of their curved hands did not touch each other because in between was a red flame that stayed in place.
"Keira…..Keira…."
Keira heard a whisper from a direction she could not yet detect.
She was in a place of chaos where things happened without them being made to. It was tormenting. She held onto both sides of her head and shut her eyes.
There were sounds of loud explosions and then sounds of
Sorrowful moaning. Sounds of thunder and demonic laughter all of which were happening at the same time.
"No! Stop! Stop! I won't let you drive me insane! No!"
She screamed and then felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned swiftly out of fright.
"Nana? Aunt Willow?" She voiced, getting on her feet.
"Take our hands," Naomi said, stretching her hand before Keira. Willow did the same.
Keira was reluctant knowing that it could all just be a part of the torment.
"You have to take our hands, Keira, it's the only way you can get out of here," Willow said to her.
Having been sceptical for a while, she took their hands.
The red flame disappeared from in between their hands and they both rushed towards her on the bed once she sat up.
"What– just happened?" Keira asked with a straight face.
"I know you have got a thousand questions but you must listen," Nana said,
"No. No. You two, stay back!" Keira rushed out of bed towards the door. She looked at them in perplexion.
"Keira there is no time for this," Willow said,
"How did you both just get into my dream? And what just happened there? From all indications, you have the answer to my question which goes; why did I have such a dream tonight?
I know I haven't been truthful and yes I have always had dreams about the accident but why was tonight different?" Keira asked from where she stood and she talked pretty fast, almost stuttering.
"Keira, we are witches," Nana said, she sounded quite sad about revealing the truth that way.
"Wh–what?" Keira blinked her eyes.
"You are not a witch. You are the first human in our lineage but for the fact that we are related by blood, we can do things like get inside of your dream and – more." Willow said,
"This isn't real. No..this – isn't real." Keira said,
"Your mom was also a Witch. You were too young to know this and we felt– you weren't ready to know.
We felt that your being human made it unnecessary for you to know any of this but we were wrong." Naomi said,
Keira stood in shock.
"She speaks the truth. We were conscious of the fact that this day would come but it's been so long we thought perhaps we were only being paranoid." Willow added,
"What– day? What are you talking about for Christ's sake?" Keira asked in a shaky voice. It was almost as though she could break down in tears the next minute.
"We know how overwhelming this must be for you but–" Naomi said,
–"Answer the question!" Keira let loose.
"The dream you had was just a vision. That place you were? Is called– the land of madness. If you were there any longer, you would be stuck in it forever and even if we were to help you get out of there somehow, you would lose your mind." Willow responded.
"Why would I be there in the first place!" Keira inquired, impatiently.
"You weren't supposed to be. Naomi and I had a vision, a terrible one.
We could only withstand it because of who we are and you being related to us by blood and for the fact that you are at the age where you should have gotten your powers, you were supposed to get the vision as well but you aren't like us and so you got stuck in between." Willow explained.
"You are not making sense. You both sound like lunatics!" Keira voiced,
"Watch it, young lady, I will forgive you because of how things are playing tonight and only because of that," Willow warned.
"Is this some prank? Is that what this is? Is it my birthday? Is this drama part of the surprise?" Keira asked,
"Of course, it's none of that! Didn't you just experience all you did in that dream? Didn't we just get in and out of it? All of this is real, Keira, all of it!"
Willow responded to her.
"You don't have to sound like this wasn't a big deal for her, Willow.." Naomi said to her with a remorseful tone.
"Evil no longer sleeps, Naomi. The world – it just might end and I will not have her end with it." Willow replied to her.
"Anna is gone. We are responsible for her now! If she isn't made aware of the truth, she will not survive and then it will be on us!
I told you all these years, she needs to know but you always the softie wouldn't listen! And now look, she is in danger and not even prepared." Willow vented.
"How could we have ever made her prepared enough? She isn't like us. She is human!" Naomi responded.
"Human or not she is teachable. Magic can be learned." Willow said,
"Don't blame me for trying to give her a better life," Naomi said,
"I do not blame you for that, I only blame you for choosing to be blind to see this day was inevitable and now where do we start from?" Willow responded,
Keira stood watching the two argue. Her mind was all over the place and she didn't know just what to do or believe.
She fainted and before she could fall to the ground, Naomi dashed to where she was, holding her in her arms.
"It's real. You just– teleported. Why…? Why me…?" Keira said,
––
"So what is this truth I need to know? Any different from what you just made me know?" Keira asked in a very low tone.
She was sitting at the bottom of her bed and a glass of water was in her right hand. She gulped all of it after her question.
"Lucas– a wizard vampire." Naomi began.
She was standing before her as well as Willow.
"A wizard vampire?" Keira reiterated.
"Yes. Now that you know all you know, there are more unreal things that just became real. " Willow said,
"Lucas is a devil and was imprisoned many years ago when he tried to wipe out the entire world just to satisfy his aim of being god over a new earth.
But now we fear that somehow he has awakened." Naomi said,
"Who would be stupid enough to wake him up? He couldn't have just woken up and then why wasn't he killed in the first place if he was that evil?" Keira asked,
"Not everything can be destroyed. Somethings can only be contained." Willow replied to her question.
"And I am supposing the security agency is no match., Keira said,
Her aunts gave no response.
"Oh, Jesus. I just got into college and it's all about to end?" Keira lamented.
"Oh and that…"
Willow said,
"What do you mean?" Keira inquired.
"You– can't continue school. It would have to be on hold for now." Naomi said,
"What? No way. Not happening." Keira said,
"That was an order. We must protect you." Willow said,
"Protect me? What about the other students? The world. Aren't we going to warn them? You only care about protecting me, leaving everyone else to die?" Keira asked,
"If we don't! Protect you, the world will fall." Willow replied harshly.
"What– what has this got to do with me?" Keira inquired.
Naomi heaved a sigh.
"You are pure," Naomi said,
"Yes, I am a virgin, what has that got to do with any of this?" Keira asked,
Willow rolled her eyes.
"This has nothing to do with your virginity. You are a pure one. Pure ones are the reincarnates who died saving another or others. Their blood can do more magic than they know." Willow replied,
"And Lucas needs the blood of a pure one to regenerate. If he gets his hands on you, you understand what will happen right?" Naomi added.
"We will do our best to protect the college and your friend," Willow said,
"I want her to come with me," Keira said,
"We can't do that. Just trust that we will keep her safe." Naomi told her.
"I hate this." Keira said,
