Violet nods. "I won't go into detail, but let's just say that the Arc has the means to notice that something was amiss. When we dug deeper, we found that the entire castle was the source of powerful time disturbances—so many of them, it was impossible to make heads or tails of things, at least from the outside. Three years ago, two agents went in—Leaf and Lizard. We lost contact with them almost immediately. The Arc also evacuated the nearby villages under false pretenses, but it didn't help—people kept disappearing. After all, in the past, they were still there, near the castle."
"So you want us to go in there, where two people didn't return from already, and solve this mystery?" Zeke frowns. "I shouldn't be surprised that Director would want to send me to my death."
"Exactly! I don't see how we are better qualified to deal with time travel than anyone else. Unless you know something I don't, Miss Violet," I say.
