The rest of the week passed quickly, and today we will head to the temple, where we will begin preparing for the ritual.
After flying for a whole day, the temple came into view, making Addie gasp in shock. The temple was in the center of an island made entirely of Oscillate crystal, creating a large ring of pillars. Inside the ring of pillars were five dragon statues carved to look like the five original ancestors, who each held a large egg, offering it to the goddess statue in the center.
I have seen it many times, but its beauty always remains.
"I think this temple is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen!" says Addie as we land inside the ring of pillars.
"Now is where we part ways until tomorrow, mo ghràdh. The dragon and the human must prepare separately before we reunite tomorrow in front of the goddess." Aeden says to Addie before leaning in for a quick kiss; then we all watch as she is dragged off to the rooms under the goddess statue.
I reluctantly turned away, then headed towards the air dragon statue. After pressing a button, a door on the floor opened up. I stepped into the narrow pathway, then descended the stairs that opened into a hallway leading to the room I would be staying in for the night.
"Are you guys ready to have our bachelor party!" Jaed yelled as he walked over to the bar.
"I think that would be fun," I said as I walked over to the liquor counter to pour myself a glass of bourbon. Alcohol was a must when these yahoos were all together.
"We thought it would be fun to party like the humans do," Says Aeden.
"I think that would be feasible. What do you think, Ryō?" I asked.
Ryō shrugged, then said, " I think it sounds good."
So, with that decided, the five of us poured classes full of alcohol and then went down to the entertainment room with a poker table, dartboards, and a billiards table.
All of the rooms were connected by pathways that created a large ring, with the person representing the goddess in the center with no path for the dragon to get there.
I missed Addie but couldn't wait to see her during the ceremony tomorrow.
