During this part of the ritual, the human that represents the goddess, will be holding a rope that was made from their hair and is given to the dragon who holds a rope made from their hair that they started making the year their mate mark appeared.
The five of us stood under a gazebo that was built right next to each of our dragon statues with a white unicorn silk runway that ran all the way to the goddess statue.
We were each having our ceremonies separately, and the first lucky asshole who pulled the short straw was yours truly.
When Addie appeared at the end of the runway, the whole world fell away.
I had already thought that Addie was the most beautiful being on this planet, but I have not seen her true beauty until this very moment.
The silk dress she wore cascaded around her curves like a waterfall and her white hair had been brushed until it shined like the finest pearl.
Her eyes burned into mine as she looked at me.
The only thing I wore was a pair of white unicorn silk pants and a matching sleeveless vest. So, the bulge in my pants was visible to everyone here, but I didn't care. The only thing I cared about was my beautiful mate, who will soon be my wife.
I watched as Addie sucked in a deep breath, then stepped onto the runway. When she stepped forward, the crystal under her feet began to glow, as the goddess gifted her child to the dragon.
As Addie made her way towards me, my hands shook with the desire to shift and take her to the mating cave and not leave for days, but I planted my feet, knowing that the whole ritual was important.
When Addie reached me, I offered her my rope, then she offered hers to me. Together we tied the knots around our wrists to symbolize the joining of marriage.
Next, we chanted the spell simultaneously; "with this rope, I give myself to thee in holy matrimony."
When the ropes lit up, we leaned in to join our lips together to complete the spell.
I heard Addie gasp as the ropes were burned away, leaving raised marks on our wrists. These marks were like wedding rings, but these rings can never be removed. As of this moment, Addie and I will be joined together forever.
