Prologue : The Future

Somewhere in the infinite universe filled with countless stars and planets, a large planet could be seen revolving around its sun.

Three celestial bodies revolved around the planet

From space, it seemed like there was a large piece of burning paper on its surface. Contrary to the chaos and destruction, there was an oddly calm and serene atmosphere in the place.

On the surface -

A handsome grey-haired man with silver eyes who seemed middle-aged was sitting on a rock gazing at the sky filled with stars thinking about how peaceful and beautiful it was in contrast to the burning surroundings.

"Do you think she's at peace now? in the afterlife, do you think everyone who died is at peace?" A black-haired - green-eyed man near him asked with dead eyes as he looked at the beautiful woman in his arms, laying unmoving

"I.....I don't know, I don't know if she's truly at peace or resentful towards fate, I don't know anything about anyone who has died. I...We can only move on carrying their sacrifices, it's because of her that we were able to seal that monster...but unfortunately, it's not the end..more of those monsters are inside that hole trying to tear through.

We must fight on even if we die...no....even after we die, by passing our wills to the future just like Lumeara has to us, she must be happy, I think, She gave her all"

The grey-haired man answered without moving his gaze from the sky not wanting to look towards the corpse of his friend who took care of him and everyone she knew, but by the end of his answer, his gaze was focused on the woman who had blonde hair and was a beauty that could melt anyone's heart even though she was covered in blood, lifeless and limp.

"You know...I never told her that I loved her. I tried telling myself that I didn't, I was afraid..afraid of the pain on losing her, afraid of giving her more to worry about because I knew she wouldn't immediately decline me, she was like that...always caring of other's emotion.

Say, would it hurt more if I wasn't so paranoid? Do you think I could have experienced the love you speak of? Does it even matter if we lose, Can't we just enjoy what we have? What are we even giving our life for? Just why?.....Ghhh...What is this water in my eyes"

Tears started flowing from the green-eyed man's eyes as he groaned and hugged the body tighter. Asking genuinely what tears were.

This absolutely shocked the grey-haired man seeing the one known as 'Holder of Death', 'Deathcloud', 'Death God' or as he liked to call him - 'Emotionless Bastard' shed tears.

He was someone who was all alone and emotionless when they first met him. Someone who only fought to kill the invaders fore the sole reasons of collecting them and the dead soldiers as puppets, yet now he was crying for someone's death. Someone who was so apathetic to life and always near death was now crying for the loss of life, it was oddly poetic.

"Nevirus...you-" the grey-haired man was cut off as Nevirus- the black-haired man looked towards him with emotionless eyes and his tears dried up.

"It doesn't really matter now, does it? She's dead, all my questions, answers and realization don't matter now, do they? She's dead. We should cremate her, I don't want her body to rot" Nevirus said still holding her.

"Nevirus, you've changed" the gray haired man said with a dazed voice.

For Necromancers, Dead bodies were important, it was a thing that came inherently. Cremation was something they hated and would rather lock a body in ice or preserve them in case they didn't use them, Yet Nevirus, the strongest necromancer suggested the idea himself. Not that the grey-haired man would've let him do something to the bodies anyway, At that moment-

"You guys! There are distortions in the tear" a brown-haired middle-aged man nearby yelled to them as they gazed towards the space tear with was now shaking violently.

Suddenly like a goddess, an angelic beauty with light blue hair descended from the sky nearby and walked towards them, She had light blue eyes like a gem and on her forehead was a strange mark that looked like...clock hands? From the midpoint, a clock hand was pointing down and the other two of equal size were pointing to northeast and northwest.

The arrowheads of the upper hands extended to left and right respectively and intertwined with each other.

"Chrona. has everyone evacuated?" the grey-haired man asked with a solemn expression.

"Yes, they have" The beauty - Chrona answered with an even more solemn expression.

The grey haired man gazed at her for some time before-

"Chrona...leave, please leave, I don't want you or our son to get harmed, only you can protect him with love...you know how worse it feels once you cannot recieve both your parent's love" the grey haired man said.

"No! Even though we have the strongest sorcerers gathered here, we will all still die. Unless the True Dragons fight. But they don't care, even if we sacrificed our cores to lock the tear, it will be temporary...if only there was someone else with superior mana willing to sacrifice themselves- yet that wouldn't likely work without another person at the same time...

At least if I fight, I can take down some of them....even though all those monsters use superior mana like you. As for Mars, He'll hopefully grow up knowing his parents were heroes,"

Chrona answered to her husband without much change in expression but her eyes showed all that was needed.

"There is one solution...The Lord of the Realms" The grey haired man said in with determination.

The two turned to look at a man standing nearby. The man was handsome with silky black hair and heterochromatic eyes. One was simple cyan and the other seemed extremely beautiful as though containing swirling galaxies within it.

"Caelum!" Chrona said calmly as the man turned around.

"The Realms Lord!"

Suddenly her expression changed as she closed her eyes and the mark on her forehead suddenly spread.

CHIRRR!

Suddenly a hand emerged from the tear, shaking- trying to open up the tear which distracted everyone from their melancholy.

Nevirus turned his eyes towards the tear and suddenly snapped his fingers as a gigantic green magic circle the size of a country appeared below his feats with a radius that seemed to go much beyond the charred plane on which they stood.

ROOOOAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!

Roars and countless voices came from the circle as hundreds of thousands, possibly millions of undead emerged from it who ranged from humanoids to humongous beasts.

All of them were assembled like a proper army when a bird came flying near Nevirus.

Nevirus lifted Lumeara's corpse and put it on its back, called a zombie that seemed to have luxurious armour and commanded him

"Take her somewhere safe and cremate her, and pour the ashes in her loved ocean, you have visited it before....assistant of Kan' Ark."

The zombie nodded and took off flight on the back of the undead bird.

At the same time, the stars twinkled as the cosmos gazed upon the space tear. The heterochromatic man looked calmly at the tear as he clasped his hands and joint his fingers.

"From the Stars, I summon-"

As Nevirus prepared for battle, so did everyone...when-

Tick-Tock

Tick-Tock

Tick-Tock

A large transparent clock suddenly appeared covering the tear. The hand that was coming out receded and the space tear started closing suddenly

"What is happening?" Everyone had the same question.

"Thank you, now...I'll do what's needed of mine" Chrona suddenly muttered as everyone looked at her in confusion.

"What happened-"

"I had a talk with-"
