Sitting across her two friends as they have a bit of their favorite lunch. Her two best friends, Sharon and Lyn, were all ears as they eagerly waiting for their friend to tell them her tales of adventure.
"It was such a beautiful place," Harriet said. "The countryside was so peaceful and serene. The fresh air, the greenery, it was all so invigorating."
She then went on to describe her trip to the beach. The sparkling water, the gentle breeze, and the warm sun on her skin were all perfect for a day of relaxation. Harriet even tried her hand at surfing the adrenaline rush she had when trying to maintain her balance on the sloppy waves, and although she wasn't very good at it, she enjoyed the thrill of the waves crashing around her.
"Sounds amazing," Lyn said with a hint of envy in her voice.
"It was incredible!" Harriet exclaimed. "I spent the first few times on the beach, and the water was crystal clear. It was so peaceful, and the sunsets were breathtaking."
Her two friends listened intently as they chew their lunch slowly while Harriet continued to describe her experience at the beach. She talked about the warm sand between her toes, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore, and the feeling of complete relaxation she experienced.
"I tried different sea food while I was there like seaweed salad, lobster, crab, shrimp, and others like octopus on calamari dish. I tell you it was nice being there. But the real fun started when I went to a party one night," Harriet said, a smile spreading across her face. "It was the most amazing party I have ever been to, and yes it true up countryside parties are wild and crazy as the tales always put it."
Lyn and Sharon leaned in, eager to hear more about the party.
She then start by described the highlight of her trip, a party she attended one night. "It was a wild night," she began. "It was held in this big, beautiful house in the middle of nowhere. There were people from all over the world, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming," Harriet continued. "There was a live band playing, and everyone was dancing and having a great time."
The party was filled with people of all ages, and the atmosphere was electric. The air was thick with the smell of alcohol, and the sound of laughter as the music filled the air. Her friends could imagine the energy in the room as everyone swayed to the beat of the music.
"I couldn't help it but get swept up in the excitement, and soon I was dancing and laughing along with everyone else."
As Harriet described the party in her own swagger, her friends could feel the excitement in her voice. She talked about the music, the food, and the drinks. The partygoers were dressed in colorful outfits, and the atmosphere was lively and upbeat. As she was continuing with her story, Harriet remember something that happened on the night of the party, and smiled.
"What? Tell us. Acquired Sharon. Seems there was something interesting that happened there."
"There was this one guy there, he was a real charmer," Harriet said with a grin. "As he enters the party, all eyes turn to him, and for good reason. He was a tall, well-built man with broad shoulders and a chiseled chest that would make any woman swoon. His muscles ripple beneath his shirt, and his confident stride only adds to his charm. The way he carried himself was with confidence and ease, as if he owned the room. His chiseled jawline gave him a rugged appeal."
But it's not just his physique that makes the man so appealing to the eye. When he speaks his voice is smooth and melodic, and Harriet at the moment she heard him speak, she immediately develop interest on the guy. Though she is known to be the boldest of her group, she is not the type of a lady that makes an audacious approach to any man, leave alone a stranger.
"I was interesting to know him or at least have a chit chat with him," continued Harriet. "Not that I was much into him, oh my, but there was just something that interest me in him and so I decided to keep a tab on him."
"So, you decided to stalk him whenever he steps to."
As time progresses, Harriet decided to give up. There was no way she was going to get chance of speaking with the man. The man seems to be popular around there with no second passing without not having ladies or gents around him.
"There was no way I was going to have a tête-à-tête with him, not tonight." Harriet said with a low face. " Just as I sat on the coach in one of the corner of the room succumbing to my disappointment of not having a space to at least having a leap of that marvelous voice around me, I heard the most stunning voice just below my ear."
"Someone has been following me almost everywhere I go to since I step my foot in this building," he said to her with his voice just few inches to her ear that she could feel his warmth breath gracing her neck.
The man he wanted to speak with most in the room was leaning on the coach behind her. And with the hazy light she could see his shy smile.
"No am not, I defended myself. Maybe it was just coincidence that we happened to be at the areas the same time."
She was not going to admit her mischievous act not to a stranger though.
"He asked me if he could sit beside me, and without even thinking about it, I found myself offering him as I move a little bit further. He introduces himself as Nick. His voice was deep and smooth, that sends shivers down my spine.
I was right about him, there was something that attracted me to him the very moment I saw him, and now I found out he has all that I could want from a man. He had a confidence when he is speaking and you can tell that he has been doing that with many ladies that it has become his habit, and there was sincerity too in his talking.
He then asked me to dance with him, and before I knew it, he takes my hand and was leading me to the dance floor, where he wraps his energetic arms around my waist, draws me closer and sways to the music with effortless grace."
"How I wish I was there to see how elegant the moment was," slyly lament Sharon.
They danced and talked for hours, and it was as if time stood still. Harriet couldn't remember the last time she had felt so carefree and alive with a stranger like that. As Nick unrelenting keep on telling her about himself, and the way he hold her in the love handles as they swing around the dancefloor, this makes her feels as if she was the only person in the room.
As the night went on, he proved to be the perfect gentleman Harriet thought she was, with every gesture and word designed to make her feel special. He twirled her around the dance floor with the grace of a seasoned dancer, and whispered sweet nothings into her ear.
"His gentle touch was electric, and every time I looked into his eyes while on the dancefloor, I felt like I was falling deeper and deeper in love with him, I longed for more."
In a world where romance was often forgotten, he was a breath of fresh air. He was the kind of man who believed in chivalry and making a woman feel like a queen. With his muscular build, smooth voice, and charming demeanor, Nick was the epitome of a romantic hero.
As the night wore on, the party showed no signs of slowing down. People continued to dance and drink, and the band played on. Harriet and Nick found a quiet corner to talk, and he leaned in to kiss her. It was a soft, gentle kiss.
"With that kiss it was the perfect end to an amazing night," Harriet said, her eyes shining with excitement. "I can't wait to go back there and do it all over again."
"That sounds like an unforgettable party," Lyn said.
"I know," Sharon agreed. "I wish we could have been there with you."
Before they know it, and even before the two ladies got a chance to share their holiday experience, the bell ranged that signals the end of lunch break.
