"Are you alright?" Grace said as she glanced at Caspian. After that, she saw the people behind Caspian's back, and she couldn't help but sigh. She then glared at them, her eyes turning bright red as she commanded, "Stay still."
The people behind Caspian seemed to have frozen up, their eyes hazy. As Caspian's tired eyes glanced at them, he couldn't help but be shocked by the astonishing scene. 'So this is how powerful mom is, huh.'
The chimera desperately tried to move its arm but couldn't budge it. It growled and bellowed angrily as it launched an attack at Grace. However, Grace simply deflected the attack with a swipe of her hand, astounding Caspian even further.
As she observed Caspian further, she saw that his consciousness was barely hanging on by a thread. She whispered warmly, "You don't have to stay on guard, Caspian. I'll deal with these two chimeras. Go find Abby and take a rest."
After saying that, Caspian let out an exasperated sigh as he weakly fell to the ground. The chimera was enraged by the scene, angered by the fact that it was being ignored by these small creatures. It angrily swung its free arm, but it was to no avail.
Grace then properly observed the creature, and she couldn't help but slightly gape her mouth while saying, "How did this chimera evolve…? There's almost no possibility a chimera can evolve…."
After giving it a thought, Grace simply dismissed it as she gazed at the further woods while saying, "Naida, Natalie, Irene! Go and help Abby and Caspian! I'll deal with these critters."
Soon, the three women appeared from the shadows. Irene then approached Caspian, and she helped him up while Natalie gave him a bag of blood. Caspian lightly nodded in thankfulness as he pierced the blood bag with his fangs and drank the blood, easing his exhaustion and hastening his healing.
"Where's Abby?" Naida asked immediately. Caspian then beckoned them to follow him as they hurriedly went out to find Abby while Grace fought the two chimeras.
As they found the place where Caspian hid Abby, he was relieved to see that she was alright. She was still unconscious, but thankfully, being a mixed breed of a lycanthrope and a beast-man, her body healed at speeds comparable, if not better, than vampires.
Natalie and Irene then helped Abby and carried her behind Natalie's back after covering her body with a coat as Naida chanted some obscure words. A dark mist encompassed the area they were in and made it look like nothing was within the forest as the mist turned into a fog. Despite being so close, the sound of Grace and the chimera fighting could barely be heard.
"What the hell?" Caspian was shocked.
Irene simply giggled as she said, "Shocking, right~! That's a demon's magic for ya~!"
"What is this fog?" Caspian asked.
Natalie was about to reply, but Naida suddenly said, "A sealing array that'll last a day. They wouldn't be able to find out what's happening within the forest for the respective time."
Natalie nodded at the statement. Caspian then finally understood what it was, a way to hide the existence of supernatural beings and these horrid creatures. They then silently approached the battlefield and saw Grace battling the chimera.
Despite it being a mindless creature, its physical body is the embodiment of the strong. Even Noble-ranked supernatural beings would find it troublesome to deal with their ridiculously resilient bodies.
Seeing that, Caspian couldn't help but ask, "Why did those things attack us?"
Just as one of the three was about to reply, Abby's hazy voice resounded, "It must be… from Fallen… there's no other explanation."
As she said that, the others nodded their heads in agreement, causing Caspian to frown.
"Let's not talk about these hear. Let's wait for the captain to finish dealing with those chimeras," Naida said as she quickly glanced at the random people on the side. Despite being frozen by Grace's hypnosis, they were still fully conscious and heard everything that they said.
The others nodded as they silently observed Grace fight the giant creature.
While the evolve chimera attacked crazily, the regular chimera also frantically attacked Grace. After all, they were against an opponent they couldn't damage. As the creatures attacked in a frenzy, Grace either just dodged them or blocked them with minimal effort.
"Although this chimera now has the strength of a half-step Noble supernatural, it still hasn't consolidated its strength, and it just feels like a regular Greater supernatural's attack. That is the importance of making sure you have stable strength after you gain a burst of one," Grace said, trying to educate her subordinates.
Grace then harnessed her power as her hand pierced through the chimera's skin, causing it to roar in pain. As she pulled her hand out, it was completely covered in blood. Suddenly, the blood crystallized in Grace's hand as she used it to damage the chimera even further.
Wasting no time on these mindless creatures, Grace just hurriedly chopped off the limbs of the regular chimera while piercing the evolved chimera's head and crushing its tiny brain. The creatures then roared one last time as they took their last breath.
As their bodies fell on the ground, Grace simply wiped her hand as she approached Caspian and the others. She then said with a laugh, "It seems 'Fallen' is adamant about either killing you or capturing you, Caspian. It's probably the former. You're probably back at their organization now!"
Caspian smiled wryly as he said, "I certainly don't want popularity if I'm popular within a group of those murderers."
Grace simply laughed at that as she looked at the regular people who managed to witness everything that had happened. She then gazed at them lightly, a chilling aura radiating from her. Her eyes glowed brightly as she gazed into their eyes, causing those people to shudder.
She then said, "You will forget everything that happened. All you'll remember is that your friend accidentally fell off the cliff a kilometer from here, and you're heading back to break the news to his wife."
The eyes of these people were blank as they mindlessly nodded their heads. Caspian couldn't help but feel a chill run down his back as he saw the scene. He could just imagine how often this probably happened.
"Scared~?" Abby giggled weakly. Caspian then turned his head to face her as he said, "Just a little shocked. And you just woke up, yet you're already trying to roast the shit out of me?"
Abby couldn't hold her laughter back. This caused Caspian to smile bitterly as he lightly pinched her nose. "Cheeky girl."
Seeing this cute interaction, Natalie couldn't help but giggle. "You two are such a cute couple."
Caspian and Abby smiled at that. Soon, Grace finished her hypnosis, letting those people return to their respective lives. She then looked at Caspian and the others as she said, "Come, we should get out of here too."
All of them nodded as they left the forest.
It didn't take a while before they finally left the recurring scene of trees and mud as they finally arrived at the road where Caspian, Abby, and the chimeras fought.
Looking at the damage, Caspian was slightly astonished as he didn't notice that there was this much damage. The road had cracks all over it, and the tree where Caspian was lodged looked incredibly fragile, as if you pushed it a little bit, it would come crashing down. Also, the broken car was just lying on the side of the road.
It was good that it was night, and no one probably saw the scene where they fought with the chimeras.
Grace then faced Naida as she said, "Contact the bureau and tell them to get some people to clean this mess up. Mention that it's a Chimera-related incident, so they'll hurry up and fix the damages in the public space."
Naida nodded as she grabbed her phone and contacted the bureau. Grace then said, "Let's go to your apartment first, Caspian."
Caspian nodded lightly as they just walked toward Caspian's apartment, which was not that far. Soon after, they arrived. They then immediately headed inside as Caspian lay on the sofa with an exhausted expression plastered on his face.
As all of them managed to find a seat, Grace looked at both Abby and Caspian and finally asked, "Do you know how that chimera evolved?"
"I don't know… it just suddenly evolved," Abby said as she tried to recall the past event.
As Caspian thought about it, he said, "Now that I think about it, I punctured its eyes, and afterward, it went on and underwent a drastic transformation. Do you think it has to do with a certain amount of damage?"
"That might be the case, but basing it on that isn't that trustworthy. After giving it a quick thought, Grace looked at Naida and her group and said, "You guys should collect that chimera's body. Bring it back to the bureau's research facility for further investigation."
"Also, get some members from our unit to help investigate the situation. Those 'Fallen' bastards are surely targeting my son for a reason. I guess I should contact Sean as well."
Naida and the others nodded as they stood up and left the apartment.
Now it was only Caspian, Grace, and Abby left in the apartment. Grace then stood up with a sigh and approached Caspian and Abby as she gave them a big hug, "I'm glad that both of you are okay."
She then let go after a while and had a warm smile on her face. Caspian and Abby couldn't help but smile at that scene. Suddenly, Grace said, "You better take care. I still want to see some grandkids."
This greatly embarrassed Caspian and Abby, especially Caspian, as he didn't know that Grace knew about his and Abby's relationship.
Then, Grace stood and said, "Well, I'll guard here for tonight. I doubt those 'Fallen' bastards would end this situation like this."

A figure bowed at another figure sitting at a chair in front of it in an unknown place as it spoke, "The chimera had been taken into their custody."
The figure sitting in a chair grinned evilly as it said, "Good, we'll be able to monitor the bureau's action properly now!"
"If you want to play a game of spies, I can do that as well, Agent Ashwood… HAHAHAHA"
