"Many years ago, this island was not here..." Eva whispered walking over to the ruins.
The worn pieces of stone gave a hint that a huge and magnificent construction was once there. However, everything was destroyed and maybe forgotten.
Over the years it seemed that the terrain had changed as well.
The small dome was barely the entrance to a palace that was now buried in the depths of the sea.
Perhaps it had collapsed with the movement of the earth, perhaps it had been looted and thrown away by the men of later centuries. It didn't matter anymore.
As she walked around the stones and the paths, she remembered those days when she had made the humans who followed her build temples to venerate her like a goddess, and that was one of them.
"How strange," she told herself. There were marks on the walls of the small dome, barely distinguishable symbols, but she could still see them.
