The sound of the wind was heard through the trees as if something was moving fast, but in all directions. Eva climbed the trunks, letting the branches creak under her feet and the leaves fall with her movement.
The hunters who had their sights fixed on the creature suddenly looked around. They could sense that something was haunting them.
"Who is it?!" asked the hunter with the leg wound. "Dammit, what's going on here? What the hell is that thing?"
Percy disappeared at that moment leaving a cloud of black smoke. The hunter with the gun looked around carefully. He knew another creature was nearby, and from the way it moved, it wasn't a wolf, nor was it that strange black dog.
Those two didn't attack above the trees.
"Careful!" The hunter with the gun yelled at his companion, but the man didn't have time to react when a creature wrapped in a black shadow grabbed him by the neck and lifted him up to the branch of a tree.
