It stopped.
The lights came back and the sound of the storm faded away. Sirens echoed in the road and the sound of officers entering the mansion was heard.
All with weapons pointed inward, waiting for the beast to appear.
Inspector Helsing came up front with a shotgun too and with an air of confidence. "What is going on?!"
The dining room doors opened and Mrs. Roberts along with the other employees came out still trembling. They explained the situation to the inspector.
Several men went up to the rooms above, hoping to find the beast hidden somewhere.
But all they found was blood, limbs, and guts everywhere. At least two people had died there.
But the animal seemed to have vanished into the middle of nowhere. There was no trace or footprints.
"Check the cameras immediately," Inspector Helsing ordered, and the men headed for the mansion's surveillance center.
