Chapter 26 - Ch 26: Chief of trolls

Grima faces Gris after saying that to him, looking ."I wouldn't want that, but I don't think it to be about you not interested in me more about there being another you are already interested in."

"And if I was, there is nothing you can do about it to change it," Grima said.

"Well, I can just easily find this person and kill him to have you all to myself." Gris was making a joke, but the girl didn't seem to find that funny. "Oh relax, I'm not going to harm your little elf friend."

"What makes you think Thorkell could be anyone else in this settlement that you know of."

"Grima I am no fool to not see that you hold feelings for the elf that lives in this northland. Truth be told, I believe you to be wasting your time thinking there is any chance of you two ever being together."

Grima understands right then, and there it is time to go no more. Talking with this person needs to go any further as she makes the move, leaving to return home."Hold it, Grima, there isn't a reason for you to leave because of the truth I said."

Gris stops the girl, grabbing her left arm."Let go of me. You do not have my permission to touch me like this."

"Listen to me all I'm doing is just trying to help you get it through your head that no one is going to stand behind you if you choose to be with that elf."

Grima takes her arm away from his hold, facing him again."So there is nothing you or anyone can do about it." She tells Gris this time the girl takes leave once more where to stop not again as he watches her leave the market.

"You are making this more fun for me, Grima, as I will have you one way or another."

[Troll village]

Xalroz and Sannoth are led by the troll who has submitted itself to them after his companion was killed by the elf, and he did not want to share such death as well.

Took about a few minutes for them to arrive at the village located in a forest filled with houses built on the ground and trees with male and female trolls watching the three walk straight forward to where the leader of these creatures lives.

Xalroz takes in the surroundings and the trolls looking back at him and Sannoth with cold stares. He saw all to be of different colored ones that are blue others a few red wearing clothing that cover their body as they whisper with each other even the children running around dare not to come anywhere near close to them.

"We are close to reaching the chieftain's home." The troll being their guild let them know and the tone of someone to be scared at the same time.

"Is that fear that I seem to detect from your troll?" Xalroz asked, wanting to know the reason behind it.

"I have brought two strangers into our home, I witnessed a friend get killed by you and done nothing about it being a coward that has submitted to you and done this."

"Ah, it's not your fault for being such a weakling," Sannoth says, attacking the troll with harsh words.

The troll didn't try to make a comeback, just staying quiet as they walked." Tell me is the fear you are having not because of how your people feel about this it is more about your chief. Isn't it what he or she is going to think about this."

"He would not be pleased about this." The troll answered Xalroz as right at that moment the three were coming upon a big building on the ground that no doubt belonged to the one in charge. "Please take my advice, don't do anything to anger the chief if you come here to talk to him about going on nicely."

"I don't care about being respectful to your troll leader. If he behaves himself, then the discussion we are about to have will end well." Xalroz lets that troll know as they all enter the home of the chieftain.

As they entered, it looked like the red troll sitting down pretty much on the wooden floor with a pillow under him, along with others doing the same as if it seemed he was having a meeting. There was also a large table to be at the same height for these trolls to reach for the food on it.

Xalroz used the short seconds to take in the picturesque sight of this red troll with his blonde hair tied into a ponytail. Tattoos markings on his face and chest along with scars that show the right eye to be lost of sight as it goes straight down, a few on the naked chest as well, and one broken tusk.

"What we have here are two unknown guests in my home, one a human, the other a dark elf, maybe." The red trolls finally acknowledge them as all others turn their attention.

"Chief, I'm sorry to be disturbing you as it looks like you are busy with something else." The troll that brought them here spoke first.

"And yet here you are with these guests that came with you instead of being on the lookout for those northerners with another who I don't see with you here."

"I killed him," Xalroz answered that question, taking steps forward to be at the front view of all there.

He has become now the centaur of attention and goes on to speak further."He was being rude when I and my companion only requested to come to your village as there to be something a chief of troll would be interested in what we have to tell you."

"Now an elf like you has killed one of my own alone with no help from this human female." The red troll points out Sannnoth.

"I let her cut off his arm as I did the final blow," Xalroz said as he looked back at her where the two shared a smile before he got back to facing the troll chief.

He looks at the two, finding something to be wrong going on here." tell me as I find what you are saying to be out of place from where I'm sitting and how is it that a dark elf like yourself is this far from home your people don't come to live around these lands."

"I was adopted by a northern family when mines were killed. It was a lucky thing to happen as the one took me in as their own instead of a slave. Oh, and I'm not a dark elf. If you pay attention more, you would see that my skin tone is not a darker complexion."

"Well it's not like us trolls get to see elves up in the north and don't care to know what you are. You are an elf in our eyes."

"Same here to me. Whatever colors you troll come as it won't change to how dumb you creatures can be and easy to kill." Xalroz's words seem to get these trolls upset at the time from looking at their faces white their chief is keeping calm.

"You should think carefully of the words you let out of your mouth. One troll killed by you was luck, but a whole village makes a difference if you hear what I'm saying."
