"Nessa",Amber gushed in surprise. She didn't expect to see the girl again.
Nessa squealed happily and rushed forward to hug her. However, before she got close, Wendy stepped in front of Amber, blocking Nessa from coming closer.
"I'm sorry, who are you?",Wendy asked coldly. Her sharp grey eyes watched Nessa like a hawk.
"Um, Wendy it's okay",Amber placed her hand on Wendy's arms. Again she was shocked at the coldness of the woman's body.
"You know them?",Wendy asked, eyeing the trio suspiciously.
"I do",Amber nodded. "Just give me a minute to talk with them"
Wendy finally stepped away, but her eyes remained on the girl.
Nessa pulled Amber close for a hug, sticking out her tongue at Wendy. When she pulled back, there was a pleased smile on her face.
"Girl, you had me worried that night",Nessa began. "After you left with Derrick, I couldn't find you. Derrick said you left him for another man..."
