The Next Day
"I'm home!" Sydney announced, coming into the house and looking worn out. The last person that she totally expected to be awaiting her when she got back home was Roman, expecting him to still be asleep since she returned to the house pretty early.
He must have gone to use the bathroom and was heading back to his room now when she came into the house.
However, it was actually magic for her to be welcomed back home by her baby. He suddenly came out of nowhere and ran with his arms spread wide open to embrace her.
"Mom?" He called and ran to meet her.
"Baby" Sydney dropped down to her knees to embrace her baby, swiftly taking off the backpack.
"Where were you last night? You were not home, I missed you" Roman tightly wrapped his arms around her neck, scared that she might disappear again if he let go. Last night at Arthur's house may have been fun for him with all the lollipops and candies that Auntie Ellie bought him.
