Chapter 22 - Kick His Ass.

"Yes ma'am"

Without a doubt, Ellie didn't need to be told whatever emergency it was that Sydney needed to take care of right away, it certainly had to do with Shane. Lately, there's this distress sign that shows up on her face when it comes to anything that has to do with her brother.

Who knows what she and Chloe talked about?

Ellie will ask about that later as she did a crisp salute like a soldier and turned around to leave and go do as she was told.

Shane relaxed comfortably in the comfort of his new home, he lay on the couch in the living room, eating some MacDonald's fries. He decided to have a little rest after arranging some stuff around the house and watching TV. This neighborhood is as boring as hell, there's nothing too special about it except for the quality air and luxury.

Then suddenly someone came knocking on his door. He's new here and has no one he talks to or is friends with yet, so he can't think of who the person knocking on the door could be. It definitely can't be Sydney, she'll be the last person on this earth to come knocking on his door.

Earlier, Chloe may have seen Shane when he came out of the house, carrying a box in his hands to keep outside. However, he failed to see her and Sydney together when they were discussing him as a creepy person.

He was still too busy arranging the stuff remaining around the house and just went back in after keeping the box outside.

"Who is it?" He got off the couch where he was lying to answer the door. Casually, Shane grabbed the door handle and opened the door, but little did he know that a powerful kick from nowhere would come landing on his chest without warning.

The kick was so powerful that it actually sent him flying backward and crashing against the wall. Sydney entered the house and then shut the door to prevent drawing unwanted attention to them. This was between her and Shane only.

"You were clearly warned to stay away. I warned you several times, yet you keep pushing your luck, why? You crossed the boundary when you went over to my house yesterday and stepped foot on my damn property, Shane!" Sydney yelled out loud with anger and rushed Shane, struggling to stand on his feet after the kick sent him flying and landing against the wall like he weighed nothing.

His back hurt like hell but then his chest was the one suffering most of the pain. Damn, Sydney had one powerful kick that would have sent him, going straight to the land of no return if it wasn't that he isn't human.

No ordinary man would have survived that.

"Sydney stop! Calm down" Shane yelled and used superspeed to escape from the wall where he first landed before Sydney could launch another attack on him. She's not giving him any chance here. She came to kill him. His little sis is here to put an end to him. She warned him enough to stay away and now she obviously can't take it anymore.

Shane should have known when to stop pestering her.

Sydney was able to put a stop in her tracks before she almost crashed against the wall. Shane saw her coming and was fast in running away before she could grab him to hurt him again. She just wanted to hurt him badly, so he could stop bothering her.

Yes, Sydney said that she was going to keep ignoring him, however, that was until Chloe came to her this morning and reported his behavior around her house yesterday. What the hell is he now, a creep?

What if Chloe had decided to call the cops yesterday and then everyone in the entire neighborhood finds out that they are related through that? Was Shane not thinking with his senses?

What if somehow her parents or Henry finds her through that report? They have a lot of connection and she's been hiding from them for years now. So if the cops had been involved, things might have turned out pretty ugly for her yesterday or even today.

"Stop? Oh now, you want me to stop Shane? Well, guess what? It's actually too late. You should have stopped first when I asked you to. It's time to pack your things and leave because there's no f**king way you would be staying in this place with me" Sydney chased after Shane up the stairs where he ran to safety.

She gave him a pretty hot chase and he ran and went hiding in one of the rooms upstairs. But that didn't stop her from continuing to chase after him.

"You better come out, there's no place to hide. You can't hide from me, Shane!" Sydney banged repeatedly on the door of the room that she saw her brother run into. Nothing can hide him from her, especially not in this house. She knows her way around since the person, who was living here before him shared a pretty close relationship with her as neighbors.

"Why don't you calm down first so we can talk this out, Syd? Look, I'm sorry I stepped foot on your property yesterday without permission, I wasn't thinking straight, I shouldn't have done that…" Shane apologized, leaning against the door to prevent Sydney from breaking it down easily.

"There's nothing to talk about, Shane. Just pack your things and leave before the others find out I'm here too. You are going to be the goddamn reason that happens if you don't go away!" Sydney threw a kick at the door and yelled out her frustration at Shane inside.

"Sorry Syd, but I still can't do that unless you'll be coming with me"

"Do you really think that you have a choice here right now, Shane? You are going to do just as I f**king said" Sydney ordered while trying her best to keep calm so she doesn't yell again.

"And what if I don't want to?"

"Then you'll leave me with no choice but to kick your ass and force you into leaving"
