Now out of Ivy's dorm building, Xadia stood looking at his hands clenching a fist and releasing over and over again. He then closed his eyes and did the same thing as he was feeling the energy coursing through him.
Xadia then smiled as he felt pleasure and ecstasy, he hadn't absorbed so much energy like this before. His smile was slowly receding as he was trying to make an excuse for being happy that he heeded his friend's advice.
What evaded his mind was the guilt he felt for actually enjoying the feeling he felt when he was absorbing Ivy's energy, he hadn't felt like that before and it was almost addictive when he was absorbing the energy. He feared he was slowly losing it, was it that he was slowly becoming aloof with every energy he absorbed?
He had no way to confirm he still had feelings for the girl, if it came to it, Xadia felt like he'd actually prefer energy to being with Ivy. That's even if he had a shot with her. The good luck Tyson said to him on the first day he saw her rang in his mind, and he didn't even have the chance to ask him what that meant.
Maybe due to his experience with her, he felt she'll go for someone else her type, or maybe she wasn't into guys. But either way, they would probably still get accustomed to each other due to his unquenchable appetite for energy and her overwhelming release of more energy. She was literally what he loved, and they were like Yin and Yang balancing each other's abnormalities, the perfect couple in Xadia's head.
'So she wasn't angry at me, but that's not an excuse to avoid someone for two days, I'm pretty sure if I didn't come to apologize, she'd continue her cold shoulder for days'. Xadia thought his eyes glowing white for a second.
'Shut up'. Xadia internally said to the energy that somehow was influencing his feelings. He then placed his hands on his eyes. 'Just what I'm I, I can't keep telling everyone that I woke up and I was able to harness energy'.
'I'm even surprised she didn't ask more about what I meant when I told her, Tyson wouldn't care though, he's the weirdest I've seen. 'How would I even explain, who would believe that I died and was placed in a pod for 200 years without decomposing, even managing to awake again completely healed of cancer? I don't even know how I'll figure that out, my only lead is Ascap and that Sonuvabitch who suffocated me.
'Thanks to him I'm alive, he couldn't have just injected me, he chose to do it to save me in an uncomfortable and painful way. I need to know why I was just a normal 16-year-old boy, with no father, struggling with cancer, deemed to die, a stroke of luck but at what price? Xadia thought.
'Wow, it's like I'm a whole new person' Xadia thought clenching his fist again. 'This energy, I can feel it coursing through me, it's like a wave of energy. So this is what Ivy has been holding in, it's too much for someone like her. I'm grateful she exists, I can't imagine where I would be draining energy from if I hadn't met her, I'll be much like a crazed energy vampire or something, or a siphend at some point, I wonder what happens to siphends when they're finally contained'.
'I wonder' Xadia thought as he got into a running stance ready to launch himself. The hair on Xadia's body vibrated and he began to run towards the school, which was the closest area to Ivy's dorm.
He was moving at a speed he had never moved before, the hair on his body was vibrating and his senses were tingling, he could feel every minute form of energy around him. And there was a lot in the academy and Xadia was mesmerized that he whispered a thank you to Ivy for unleashing the rampant energy in her body.
He was running around the buildings in the area he felt pleased that he began to run and skid corners making a drift in some ways. He soon came to a stop closing his eyes and taking a deep breath.
'With this new energy, I'll be able to cultivate more and finally feel my call, if have one. Strangely I didn't feel it when I was cultivating the other time, but now it might be possible.
Xadia then began to run to the cultivation building, he soon reached his destination, the door was still open for some reason. Maybe the school doesn't have a curfew. He then quickly entered the portal to begin cultivation, and after setting everything up, he began. He closed his eyes breathing in perfect concentration.
An hour had passed and Xadia was finally done, and he could feel the energy in his body somewhat becoming denser in form, it was a win. 'The energy wasn't enough for me to sense my core, but this is a success. But I can't really feel it now, it's becoming harder to feel.
Xadia then exited the cultivation building and was finding his way out of the school area, amidst his quest to go home. A certain scenery had caused him to hide behind a wall, but he was peeping to see what was happening.
A kick came from behind and he couldn't sense it and the impact sent him to the floor. A figure then held onto his leg and began to drag him onto the floor. "We have another one". The figure shouted to his comrades.
