The reaction was instant to sense, and quickly opening the door, Xadia could see the reason for his ecstatic response, it was ivy. She was floating in the air three steps away from the ground, it looked like the energy was too much for her and she was fighting it, while massively releasing energy out of her body. A blast of energy shot right through the door, pushing Xadia until he met the wall, falling to the floor.
"I need to get to her, I can absorb it". Xadia internally thought as he fought the energy and stood from the ground, and then began to push the force that was being released. Xadia knew he had to reach Ivy before it was too late. He could feel the power emanating from her, pushing him back with every step he took. Her energy was overwhelming, and she was pushing and fighting it as the energy was being forced in.
With every inch Xadia came, the forcefield grew stronger and stronger. And Ivy still floating three steps above the ground was lost in a trance-like state but she was mentally awake as she was forcing in the released massive energy that surrounded her.
Her eyes were closed in concentration, trying to conjure the energy back into her body, and Xadia could see she was failing and the energy was proving too much for her body to hold.
Xadia was determined to get to Ivy. Her powers were beyond anything someone her age should have. And he couldn't let her be consumed by the massive wave of energy. With each step, he felt the force of her energy pushing against him, but he kept moving forward.
As he got closer, he could see the strain on Ivy's face as she desperately tried to control the energy within her. The air around them crackled with electricity, and Xadia struggled to hold onto his balance. But he kept moving forward, driven by the need to save Ivy from herself.
Just two steps away from Ivy, Xadia could feel the full force of her power. It was like standing on the edge of a cliff with a hurricane roaring toward him, but it wasn't enough to knock him out. He then reached out his hand towards Ivy, grasping at thin air as he struggled to get even closer.
Then, through sheer willpower, Xadia managed to reach Ivy. He clamped his hands onto her and began to absorb her energy. It was risky business, but he had no other choice. Ivy's body went limp, and Xadia feared for a moment that he had gone too far. But then, he felt her energy subsiding, and he knew he had saved her, as she soon fell into his arms, and he pulled her to the floor to rest on his chest.
Gasping for breath, Xadia looked down at Ivy. She looked pale and drained, but her eyes slowly opened and she lost herself in his eyes, grateful that he saved her life.
"Are you okay"? Xadia asked. "I'm fine, thank…. you". Ivy whispered. "I know this isn't the right time to say this, but I'm sorry,". Xadia paused for some time. "I'm sorry for involving you with my mess, and Tyson's".
"I don't know what happened when you separated from me, but I can't imagine what happened, so I'm sorry, I don't know how to say I'm sorry". Xadia stopped as Ivy touched his mouth for him to stop.
"This is enough, and I wasn't angry, I did a spell, and the drawback was I wouldn't speak for some time, it's a spell for concentration so that I can control my emotions, I kept releasing energy after we came back, and that was the solution I came to, that's why I was ignoring you". Ivy stated.
"Oh". "What made you think so". Ivy asked.
"Uhm, it was Tyson, he said you wanted an apology from me, that that's how girls do, meaning you wanted attention from me". Xadia explained.
"Tyson!, that clown". Ivy then forced a smile.
"Can you take me to my room, I can't move my body, that's the door". Ivy requested." Sure". Xadia replied with flushed cheeks.
He then lifted Ivy up and proceeded to the door, about to open the door, Xadia paused before looking at the construction table, and for a minute he could see black-colored smoke dancing above the table.
"What's wrong," Ivy asked
"Nothing," Xadia replied noticing that the smoke was gone. He then opened the door and the room almost looked identical to his room and Tyson's, but there was just one bed, and he then placed Ivy on the bed.
"I'll be going now, how do I lock your room, and how was it possible that I could open the door to your room". "I made it that way after the day I invited you in, when you close it'll automatically lock itself. Ivy replied. " Have a long rest, you can even skip tomorrow's class, no one will question you". Xadia said as he left the room.
"I'm pretty sure, Mr. Harper will," Ivy thought
"I'm relieved he came even with me ignoring him, I could have died". Ivy said as she made a spell book that was black in color. There was a circle in the middle of its front cover, along with some strange runes on the book. "He can sense energy to that level, he even noticed the power this book has". Ivy said as she ran her hands over a rune on the book.
"It won't be long Mum". Ivy said as she drew some runes on her hands before closing her eyes.
