Chapter 20 - Chapter 15A

It had been a week and Mason had not heard from Avery He overgrew the urge to unsend the text he sent to her. The text had ticked twice and it had turned blue, which meant she had seen it and decided to ignore him. He opened the text for what felt like the seven millionth time to see if he had said something that earned him total and complete silence. He had written, "Hey, it's Mason. I got your number from Evie, she said you thought I was mad at you, well, I'm not."

It felt like he could hear the crickets in the DM, not even a period sign or an emoji. He did not know if he had offended her with the text and he also did not want to go over to ask her directly or ask her friends if she was mad at him. He didn't know if he should ask her why she was ignoring him, he didn't want to look desperate and he also didn't want to piss her off again so he just decided to let it be as she want. He would pretend like he didn't send the message but when he looked at his phone, the first thing he did was check the message for any possible reply.

He walked out his room and because his mind was preoccupied with a lot of things, he didn't notice or hear Dylan saying hi until he threw a paper at him.

"Dude, are you okay?" Dylan finally asked after watching him.

"Of course. Are you ready for the workout?"

"Sure."

They walked out to the gym together. When they got there, they noticed that Jessica and Sheryl were already there. They were playing loud music from the speakers. Luckily, the boys each brought their individual headphones so they didn't have to listen to their choice of music.

Sheryl was using the thread mill when they walked in, she had less than two minutes left to run so Dylan went over to check. When he saw how many minutes she had left, he stood there waiting his turn.

Mason just decided to warm up with some jumping jacks. As he was doing that, the two girls he and Dylan saw the first day—Maya and Naya—came into the gym. They smiled and waved at him and he did the same without waving. They went over to where they wanted to stay and started doing their warmups.

Two other guys walked in, they nodded at Mason, who nodded at them too, and then they also started working out too. Jessica tried to flirt with one of the guys when she saw Mason and Dylan trying to spot Naya when she needed their help with the weights equipment. She started by slowing trying to lift a doorbell while bending over in front of the new boys. It was pathetic and Mason felt second hand embarrassment from what she was doing. Dylan was disgusted and he turned to work out where Maya and Naya worked out. They talked less and worked out more. They all spotted each other with weights.

As soon as Mason stood up after lighting his weight, he saw Avery and Evie walk through the door. He could see everyone turn to look at the girls. Avery wore a light blue Adidas yoga gear with her hair in a messy bun but she still looked perfect. Her strides had everyone in awe and she just put her yoga mat down, looked around the room and waved at everyone, then turned to Evie and they did their yoga poses together.

Yoga huh?! No wonder her cores are impressively tight, Mason thought. Dylan went over to say hi to the girls. Mason saw Avery smiling with him and they talked like friends, he scoffed at how friendly she was with Dylan but couldn't reply his text. He didn't know what they were talking about but he didn't want to go over, however he looked over every once in a while to see them still laughing, even though the girls continued doing some poses. After a while, Dylan came back over to Mason and he was tempted to ask him what they were smiling about he didn't care, she aired him and so, he told himself that whatever they were talking about was the last thing he would be interested in.

Maya told Naya that she thought the girls were very pretty and they argued about whether or not Evie had her boobs surgically done, and if Avery's chin, nose and waistline were also surgically done.

"Look at her form, that's all yoga. I think her body is natural." Maya defended.

"You don't get it, the woman has a perfect waistline." Naya argued.

"Did you see her strides, it's from good posture, she didn't slouch even when she was meditating. I think it's natural." Maya defended.

"Let's say it is, what about her face?" Naya asked.

"What about it?" Dylan asked as he walked up to them.

"I don't think they're natural. I've gone through her instagram, she's literally perfect How is a person this perfect in pictures and even better in real life." Naya replied.

"You're right. The girls are beautiful and super hot. I too have had to check out their socials and it was literally hot in there. I think they're natural anyways." Dylan defended them.

"So what, yoga gave them all that form?" Naya asked.

"Avery said she has been doing yoga since she was 10 years old." Dylan continued.

"How old is she?" Maya asked

"Eighteen." Dylan replied.

"She's eighteen? I don't believe that. Her face may be eighteen but that body is 22 or 23, no way she's a teenager." Naya disagreed.
