2010 October....
As soon as Katherine walked out of the room, she breathed a sigh of relief before rushing out of the building and making her way to her car.
She quickly brought her car keys from her purse before opening the car and getting inside. 'I have so much to tell you Nathan'. She thought to herself before starting the car.
It was a bit hard for Katherine to find Nathan's house after years of not being there. She called him once she reached the house.
" Nathan. I'm at your house".
"Oh, okay, I'll meet you outside". Nathan said as he ended the call. from
Katherine waited for a bit before someone opened the door.
"Come inside". He said as he led her into his house. She followed him into the house but her focus was mainly on the front yard. 'It looks so different from what I remember'. She thought to herself as she walked into the house.
As soon as Katherine laid her eyes on his living room, she felt like she had walked into another person's house. Everything from the couch to the coffee table and even the walls looked different.
"Your house looks different from what I remember". Katherine said as she looked around the living room.
" Oh, I just wanted a little change once I started college", Nathan said as the two of them sat down, "So, about Savannah. How did it go?" Nathan asked as he looked up at Katherine .
"Well, uhm, I'm not really sure but I don't think Savannah killed Patricia ".
"You weren't there when it happened, you didn't witness her being murdered". Nathan said blankly with his eyes still glued to hers.
Katherine stared at him for a while before finally breaking eye contact, " She told me she didn't do it, she doesn't even remember anything about that incident". Katherine said as Nathan stood up from his seat and walked towards Katherine. With every step he took closer to her, Katherine could feel her heartbeat accelerating. She could feel herself getting more and more nervous as his strong cologne filled the air. Suddenly , the constant 'Katie' being heard brought her out of her thoughts.
"Are you even listening to me?
"Oh, uhh, were you saying something?"
"Ugh, nevermind, I'll just start over", Nathan said as he sat down next to her, " She told you she didn't remember what happened at the time of the incident right? Were there any other incidents like that?"
" Well, yeah, she told me about how one of her classmates died and she was the only one with her, except, she doesn't remember how it happened ", Katherine said before turning to look at Nathan who was also staring at her. It made her feel a little uncomfortable so she shifted a little bit and placed her purse in-between them before looking through it and bringing out her notebook.
"In this notebook, I write down the symptoms of my patients before diagnosing them. I also wrote some of Savannah's symptoms ". Katherine said as she gave him the book. Nathan flipped through the book before stopping at Savannah's name written bold letters . He read the symptoms before giving Katherine the book.
"Here. I don't understand a thing you wrote there. First it's the handwriting and second, I didn't study psychology ". Nathan said as he abruptly turned causing the two of them to face each other.
Katherine chuckled before taking the book from him, "Well, these symptoms prove that Savannah might have a Dissociative disorder known as Derealization ".
"Savannah has a Dissociative disorder ? I've known her for so many years yet this never crossed my mind".
"Well, she might also be suffering from Dissociate Identity Disorder which is totally different from Derealization. The main difference between the two is the fact that DID has a second identity. And maybe you're right, there's a slight chance that Savannah was the one who killed Patricia, but to be sure, we need to find her second identity".
"But how will we do that?"
"A test. We need to test Savannah to get hold of her second identity or identity. The question now is, how do we test her?"
"I think I know what we need to do". Nathan said as he creased his chin for a while.
"So what do we need to do?"
"Oh, we need to observe Savannah until there's another death case. If she doesn't remember what happened and was there also present during the incident then there's a chance that she does suffer from DID, but if she wasn't present or remembers what happened then there's a chance that she doesn't suffer from DID. Either way, it's 50/50".
"But what if she's innocent but still doesn't remember?"
"That's what I said, 50 chances of being innocent and 50 for being guilty".
"Yeah. Well, I have a long, busy day ahead of me, so, I'll get going". Katherine said as she stood up.
" Okay then", Nathan said as he also stood up, "I'll see you later". He said the two of them made their way to the front door. "Oh and", Nathan said before the door gully closed,"I was right".
"Right about what?"
"Right about Savannah being the killer".
"You can't say for sure until we're sure she has the disorder".
"Well, there's still a 50% chance that I'm right". Nathan said as Katherine chuckled.
"Bye". Katherine said before walking away.
"Bye". Nathan said, loud enough for Katherine to hear.

Meanwhile...
Once Katherine left the room, Savannah also started getting ready to go. She took her bag and made her way to the door. Somehow it felt like all what Savannah had been keeping to herself was finally revealed. She felt lighter.
After leaving the building, she went straight to her car before opening the door. She was about to get in when her phone beeped. She didn't think it was something too important, so she got into the car and started it before driving home.
She walked into the living room and was surprised to see her mother at home.
"Mom? I thought you said you were going out today?" Katherine said as she walked to where Amanda sat.
"Oh, I did, I'm just coming back? Want to watch some TV?"
"Sure". Savannah said as she sat next to Amanda.
"So, how did your first session go?"
"It went well, I guess". Savannah said as Amanda turned on the TV.
The TV turned on and the first thing that popped up was the news. The headlines wrote in bold letters, 'THE KILLER STRIKES AGAIN'.
As Savannah read the headlines, her heart thugged her chest, 'Everything was just falling into place, now this again' Savannah thought to herself and moments later, the news reporter came into view with a small girl.
" Good afternoon everyone, my name is Liana Doseman and this is Cross News.Just a few days ago, a suspected victim encountered the killer. Tell us your story". Liana said as she looked down at the girl. The girl sighed before Liana gave her the mic.
"My name is Mariah Miller. I'm 15 years old and just recently moved here. I was taking a stroll when someone covered my mouth from behind. I bit the person's hand and tried to run away but the person grabbed my hand and we ended up breaking into a fight. Luckily, I managed to push her down and run away".
"Wait. Are you sure that's the killer?"
"Yes, I'm sure. She had murder intent in her eyes and almost tried to strangle me..." Before Mariah could finish her sentence, Amanda switched of the TV.
"Now do you understand why I don't like you going out. The risk is too much. What if that was you instead of that girl, how would you expect me to react. I've already lost one child, I don't want to loose a second child". Amanda said before getting up from where she sat and storming out of the living room.

Meanwhile...
Katherine was in her room, reading a book when suddenly her phone started ringing, she kept the book on her dressing mirror before picking up her phone. ' Nathan? Why is he calling me?" Katherine thought to herself before answering the call.
" Hello".
"Have you watched the news?"
"No, what happened?" Katherine said before sitting on her bed.
"Well, a suspected victim explained her encounter with the killer".
"So, how's that my problem ".
"Well, I told you that if there's another case and Savannah doesn't remember what happened, then it means she's suffering from DID".
"So all we have to do now is call her up and ask if she knows anything about the case".
"And if she doesn't, than it means she is suffering from DID".
"Well you can't be completely sure. But anyways, I'll update you".
"Okay, bye then ".
"Bye". Katherine said as she ended the call...
