Chapter 48- Mestel Avatar (Part 2)
The whole village, as far as Akio's eyes could see, was turned into a sea of crimson flames. Not even a spot was left intact. The temperature was extremely high, bordering on inhabitable thresholds. A sight of hell had manifested itself during the time Akio was unconscious.
Taking a deep breath, Akio found the air to be heavy and suffocating. Each breath hurt his throat as it was very hot and stuffy. Plus, the smoke generated from the burning flames almost choked him.
"What the fuck happened here?! Cough, cough!!" Akio murmured as a fit of coughs assaulted him.
Taking one last look, Akio pushed the last rock and then stepped outside. Luckily for him, the place he was standing on wasn't touched by the flames because of its considerable high ground and also the sheer amount of rocks that absorbed the fire.
