Jess pov:
I was woken up by the sound of my phone ringing, I picked it up to check and saw Jason's name on the screen. I decided to ignore but he kept calling, doesn't he give up for fuck sake. I picked up out of anger, "hi Jason" I said gritting my teeth together. "I'm sure you've been seeing my missed call, I understand if they are with you but you could have called back when the coast was clear" he said calmly for the first time in his entire life. "well the coast hasn't been clear and they are always around me so yeah that's why, even right now Adrien is beside me" I whispered so as to make my lie more believable. "ok I understand but before I hang up, what have you found about Adrien? is he really into drug business?" he said curiously, to be honest I've not even tried snooping through his stuff but I doubt Adrien does that. "No he's not into drug business or at least I've not found anything incriminating him give me at least two week to get everything settled and I'll get back to you" I said and he hung up finally. I've taken care of him now he won't try making contact with me for like two weeks and some days.
I tried sleeping but I just couldn't, so I decided to make my way towards the kitchen. I kept thinking about my current situation I love my job but I also really like Adrien fuck I'm so screwed. Getting to the kitchen to get ice-cream I heard a familiar voice in the kitchen and it was Adrien, why was he still up. "¿Qué diablos quieres decir con que fuimos emboscados?" he shouted angrily at the phone while pacing around the kitchen but I couldn't get what he was saying maybe because he was speaking Spanish. "a veces me pregunto si tomé la decisión correcta al contratarlos" he shouted banging the counter this time which startled me making me almost fall but I held myself firm, I decided to leave and started making my way towards the kitchen.
"What are you doing up by this time?" Adrien said and I stopped immediately turning around to find him only in gray sweatpants. "umm nothing I just came to get something to eat but you seemed busy there so I decided to go back" I said trying no to look at him, he started making his way towards. 'ohhh fuck don't make your way towards me' I thought to myself. He finally got to my front and bent to my level so our face were levelled. "so princess what do want to eat?" he said while carrying me again. "you know I can walk right" I said trying not to move too much so I've fall from the steps, "I know but I just love carrying you, I mean you just got perfectly into my hands and it's nice. I feel like you're made for me" he said not even making eye contact with me maybe because he was walking and didn't want to fall. "how do you always know the right things to say? is this how you talk to all girls? I bet it is" I said while he just dropped me on the counter, I just say there and watched him bring ice-cream out from the fridge. "I don't talk to other girls except it's business based, you're the only girl that I've actually made effort with" he said while playing the ice-cream on the counter. "hmm" is all that came out of my mouth I wanted to say more but I didn't have the guts.
He finally grabbed spoon and made his way towards me, he kept the ice-cream beside me but he came to stand in-between my legs. which ofcourse made me blush and the idiot just smiled, he pulled the lid off and brought of the spoon. I stayed there waiting for him to give me a spoon but he didn't, he only brought one spoon. "seriously" I said while rolling my eyes, "what?" he said while he dipped the spoon in the bowl of ice-cream and kept it in him mouth. "you brought just one spoon" I said while trying to grab his spoon but he used his height to his advantage. "I grabbed on spoon because I wanted to be the one to feed it to you princess" he said while dipping the spoon in the ice-cream bowl and giving it to me and I accepted it happily.
We finally finished the bowl of ice-cream. "so what was your call about?" I asked because the question kept eating me up I needed to know. "I was wondering when you were going to ask me that, it was just normal business call" he said while looking at me weirdly. "Ok why are you looking at me like that? I asked while tilting my head. "there's just a little something" he said while bringing his hands towards my face and wiping something close to my mouth. I stayed there just staring at him, his eyes dropped from my face to my lips and I felt it we were finally going to have our first kiss. He started moving close to me and I did the same, our faces were inches apart until a little somebody rushed in the kitchen taking our full attention. "ohh fuck I'm so sorry" Penn said while trying to go back but Lucas came rushing in too. "Penn why did yo..... ohhh sorry" Lucas said while dragging Penn out with him. "stop you guys can come in" I said finally getting off the counter. "NO YOU GUYS LEAVE NOW" Adrien shouted while carrying me back on the counter and wrapping his arm around me not making me move. Lucas left without asking any question but Penn stayed, "Adrien we can do this later, now please carry me to my room I'm tired" I whispered while placing a kiss on his cheek but he refused. "you can sleep on my bed today" I said wrapping my hands around his neck, he picked me up and basically ran to my room.
