It was no marvel that the diner was tagged a five-star diner; everything about them was top-notch. The food there was sweet and well-cooked. Even their wine was satisfactory. Plus, the servers were sociable, even in their most proficient manner. Selena could not get enough of the place.
Halfway through the dinner meeting, she excused herself from the table. She had taken a little too much of the fruity red wine and her bladder was beginning to respond.
On her route to the lavatory, she passed by a table where a man and a woman sat and had a chat. The woman was doing more of the talking and laughing while the man merely sat there.
Selena thought that the man must be maintaining a bored face if only she could see him, but sadly, his back was turned to her.
Just when she was about to push the door that would usher her to the lavatories, she assumed she heard a voice like her husband's and halted.
