Chapter 2… Idiot Narcissist
"Yes. Who are you?"
"I'm Bella's teacher. I'm calling to inform you that Bella's driver couldn't come to pick her up from school today." Selena reported calmly. "I tried to reach him but his phone was off. I'm calling to inform you that Bella is with me right now."
"With you?" Timothy asked in disbelief. "You took my daughter home!? Are you crazy!?"
Selena frowned, trying to keep her calmness in check. "Mr. Lancaster, I'd like for you to refrain to calling me names. I only did you a favour by-"
"Lady, are you f*cking out of your mind?" Timothy yelled. The elevator has stopped and he stepped out into the parking lot.
"You took my daughter home and you're saying you did me a favour!?"
That's it!
Selena lost it. She wouldn't just seat and let him insult her because she did him a very big favor. She cleared her throat and frowned.
"Listen here, Mr. Lancaster. I won't have you calling me names because your daughter insisted on coming home with me! Don't you dare try to insult me because I promise you, I will not stand quietly and listen to that. What an idiot!"
Timothy's brows drew closer.
"Are you challenging me, Miss whoever you are?"
Selena scoffed. "Firstly, I am not challenging you. Secondly, I am not miss whoever you are. My name is Selena Scott. I don't care if you want to report to the school authorities, be my guest. I only called to let you know that your daughter is in safe hands."
"I'm sending you an address now, come and pick her up!" She yelled and pulled the phone off her ear.
"Asshole!" She yelled into the speaker before ending the call.
"Miss Selena?"
Selena turned around with a smile to see Bella standing behind her. Hopefully she didn't hear anything.
"Baby, daddy's on his way. Okay?" She said and the child nodded. "Let's go in."
"Did he annoy you?" Bella asked and Selena's eyes widened in shock. How did she know?
Bella sighed dejectedly. "I guess he did." She looked up at Selena and smiled sadly.
"I'm sorry about my dad. He's always annoying."
Selena shook her head sadly, internally cursing at Mr. Lancaster. She pulled Bella to her side on the couch. "It's okay. It's nothing. Okay?"
Bella nodded and they continued to watch TV. She texted her house address to Bella's father and tossed the phone on the side table. When she bent over, she found that Bella was already fast asleep.
Chuckling, she laid the child properly on the couch before raising her head and placing it on her legs. She kept patting Bella's head gently as she watched the TV and waited for the child's father.

In the car, Timothy was seething with rage as he drove on the busy roads of Ontario. He kept bumping his fist angrily into the steering wheel.
'that woman!' he cursed inwardly as he turned into a bend. 'the hell does she think she is? Huh? She dared talk back at me? Hmph! I'd make sure she remembers this day for this rest of her life.'
After a few minutes of a distanced journey full of rage, gritting of teeth, and curses, he finally arrived in front of house number thirty one.
He parked his car outside the door and knocked on the front door. His anger made him ram the door with more force that needed.
Selena hissed and place a palm over Bella's ear. She closed her eyes and screamed for him to come in.
Timothy hissed and walked into the house, momentarily stopping in front of the open door when the interior of the house came into view.
This wasn't what he had been expecting. To be honest, he had been expecting some kinda shabby looking rat hole. By something like this.
The walls were all painted white. By the walls, there were musical instruments of different kinds -paino, cello, guitars, and even violins. It made him wonder just how obsessed with music 'miss whoever you are' was.
Selena smirked when she noticed his pause at the doorway. She snapped a finger and called out to him. "Hey Mr. Lancaster, I'm here!"
Timothy hissed to hide his embarrassment at being caught staring in someone else's house.
"I'm not blind." He walked and stopped before her. "Where's my daughter?"
Selena looked at him for a second before smiling. "You aren't blind, yet you can't see her"
Timothy took a step forward and placed a hand over Bella's head. "What did you do to her?"
"What a father who had no time for his daughter could do of course," Selena retorted.
Timothy frowned and it made her smile. Though, she would agree he was handsome.
Clad in a thousand dollars, three piece grey suit that complimented his black Armani shoes and Rolls wristwatch, he looked stunning. His black hair had been cut into a very short, conservative haircut and it made him look even more gorgeous. Delicious…
Too bad, his character sucked to the core. Right now, his blue eyes were shooting daggers at her but, she was returning the same energy to him.
Timothy glared at Selena and reached to pick his daughter from her body, careful enough not to make any physical contact with Selena. It wasn't that she had any contagious illness -he didn't know- but, he didn't want to have anything to do with the crazy lady.
"I'd be on my way now." Timothy said and turned around to leave when Selena called out to him. He watched her walk into the kitchen at the side and return with a schoolbag. Bella's schoolbag.
He collected it and left without as much as a simple thank you but, Selena didn't seem to be worried at all. To her, she could already tell that he was an idiot narcissist.
She watched his car drive away and she got into her house, crashing into the couch closest to her.
Her brother, Rick , hadn't closed from work and he wouldn't be closing until seven in the evening. It was barely four o'clock. Selena sighed and rolled down unto the rug on the floor.
Since she had nothing to do, she decided to get some sleep before making dinner.
