CHAPTER 40… DISCHARGED
Selena's brows drew together as the blinding white lights pierced through her closed eyes. It took a while for her eyes to adjust to the light.
She groaned lightly and tried to bring herself up to a sitting position. Her eyes closed and reopened as she stared at the four white and blue walls in the room.
Where was she?
This did not look like her room.
She felt her head spin and she groaned. Touching her forehead, she was surprised to find that her head was wrapped up in what seemed like a bandage.
Must be a hospital, she thought, turning her head from side to side. But, how did she get here?
Her brain started to replay the last memories it had recorded and Selena could feel goosebumps appearing on her skin. She felt the wind and atmosphere in the room wash over her like that of the woods.
