Rose stepped through the front door and was greeted by the comforting scent of her family's home. She had been away for three days, and although she was happy to be back, she couldn't help feeling a little exhausted. As she took off her shoes and coat, her parents and sibling appeared from different parts of the house, welcoming her home with hugs and smiles.
"Hi, Rose! Welcome back!" her younger brother exclaimed, jumping up to give her a hug.
Her father patted her on the back and her mother, noticing her exhaustion, ushered her towards the kitchen. "We made your favorite dinner tonight, sweetie. Come on, sit down and let's eat together."
The table was set with all of Rose's favorite dishes: her mother's famous lasagna, garlic bread, and a big salad. Rose smiled and thanked them for the warm welcome and the delicious meal. As they began to eat, everyone chatted about what had happened while she was away, but Rose found herself lost in thought.
