Kamilia had stormed out of the house, leaving Iyad and Savana alone in the living room. As soon as she had gone, the atmosphere shifted, becoming icy and tense. Iyad's expression hardened, and his eyes seemed to bore into Savana's soul.
"You better leave now," he said, his voice cold and devoid of any emotion. "This is the last time I could tolerate such behavior from you."
Savana's heart sank as she heard these words. She felt a wave of sadness wash over her, as she realized that the man she loved was pushing her away. She had always felt a deep affection for Iyad, but lately, things had been different.
He seemed distant and uninterested in her, and she couldn't help but wonder if he loved her at all.
She had always been insecure about her relationship with Iyad. Despite being together for months, she couldn't shake the feeling that he didn't love her as much as she loved him. And now, his cold and dismissive attitude towards her only confirmed her worst fears.
As the day wore on, Iyad found himself increasingly distracted by thoughts of Kamilia. He had never been a man to act impulsively, but there was something about her that drew him in.
He couldn't shake the feeling that she was meant to be in his life, that they were meant to be together.
And so, he gave clear orders to one of his guards to bring Kamilia to him. He didn't know what would happen next, but he knew that he couldn't ignore the pull he felt towards her any longer. As the day drew to a close, he sat alone in his office, lost in thought, waiting for her arrival.
************
Kamilia's heart was racing as she gazed up at the towering building that housed Iyad's company. She felt so small, so insignificant compared to the impressive structure and the powerful man who ruled over it. She had never felt so intimidated in her life.
As she stepped into the grand entrance, she was greeted by a stern-looking man who directed her to Iyad's office. Her nerves were on edge as she slowly approached the door, her palms sweaty and her breaths shallow.
When she finally reached the door, she hesitated, her hand hovering over the handle.
Suddenly, Iyad's voice boomed from within the room, causing her to jump in fright. "You better come here, now," he shouted. Kamilia knew she had no choice but to obey. With trembling hands, she pushed open the door and stepped inside.
Iyad's eyes bore into her, his expression cold and unforgiving. Kamilia couldn't help but shrink back under his gaze. "What took you so long ?" he demanded, his voice cutting like a knife.
Kamilia's mind went blank as fear overtook her. She had no answer for him. Before she could even utter a word, Iyad's secretary burst into the room, interrupting their tense exchange.
"You have a meeting in five minutes," the secretary said briskly. Iyad's eyes never left Kamilia's face as he barked at the woman, "You're fired."
Kamilia felt her heart drop into her stomach. Was she the reason for the secretary's dismissal? She couldn't bear the thought of causing anyone else to lose their job because of her presence.
Iyad turned back to Kamilia, his face unreadable. "What are you waiting for? come here ," he ordered.
Kamilia's legs felt like jelly as she struggled to walk. She walked to the center of a vast office, with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the city. Kamilia was momentarily distracted by the breathtaking view, but Iyad's cold voice snapped her back to reality.
Kamilia stood there, trembling with fear, as Iyad's words cut through the air like a knife. His anger was palpable, and she could feel it radiating off of him like a heatwave. It was as though his very presence was suffocating her, and she struggled to catch her breath.
"The problem with you," he continued, his voice low and menacing, "is that I can't take my eyes away from you. I have to be with you all the time. I can't even leave you to my guards. Shit, Kamilia."
His words were like a punch to the gut, and Kamilia felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes. She had never seen him like this before, and it frightened her.
"I-Iyad, you're scaring me," she stuttered, her voice barely above a whisper.
But Iyad just gestured for her to come closer to him, and she obeyed, even though every fiber of her being screamed for her to run away.
"You see," he continued, his voice still filled with anger, "I have tried so many times to let you live your fucking life. I tried to give you all the freedom you wanted, but you never succeeded in making my heart rest. You always put yourself into trouble, and I can't accept that anymore."
As he spoke, Kamilia could feel her heart breaking into a million tiny pieces. She had never wanted to cause him pain or worry, but it seemed that no matter what she did, she always managed to make things worse.
"I-I'm sorry," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
But Iyad just shook his head, his expression softening slightly.
"Sorry isn't enough," he said, his voice still filled with emotion. "You need to understand that I can't just let you go.."
Kamilia looked up at him, her eyes filled with tears. She had never heard him speak so openly about his feelings before, and it was both terrifying and exhilarating.
"Iyad," she whispered, taking a step closer to him. "I'm so sorry. I never meant to worry you."
He reached out and took her hand, pulling her even closer to him.
"Too bad ," he said, his voice low and tender. "But we need to figure out a way to make this work. I can't keep living like this, and neither can you."
" I promise , I will not worry you again, yad , just let me go again, I promise I will never let you see me again !" she whispered with tears in her eyes .
