Micah hadn't said anything as they walked through the large mansion because he didn't want to make Pride even more uncomfortable. But after smelling the rich scent of coffee, Micah couldn't stay silent.
"Do you brew a lot of coffee, Mister Pride?"
Pride looked a little startled at being spoken to so suddenly. But he looked at Micah and answered after taking a cautionary sniff of the kitchen.
"I guess. Does it smell a lot? Since I'm used to it, I can't really tell. But if it bothers you, you don't have to check my plumbing. Right! Names! I don't know your or your associate's name. Pardon my rudeness."
Pride seemed to have gotten a little better at talking after letting Micah and Baldas inside. But to Micah, it looked like Pride was just saying whatever came into his head due to nervousness.
