Chapter 30 - New Student Trouble

Anna had seen the trio take a turn into the boys bathroom, but couldn't follow suite. People already saw her as a freak and a weirdo, and entering the boys bathroom would only mean updating her position on the psycho list.

She made a swift turn towards the opposite side which lead to the female bathroom. She intended to use an invisibility spell on herself and follow the man to keep an eye on him. But with the traffic and crowd, she would only end up bumping into people and getting exposed. She bit her lips hard, almost tearing through her feeble flesh as she thought of a way to overcome her current condition.

She had already lost track of the man she stalked, the last thing that she wanted now was the man going after them and she wasn't there to help. Anna immediately barged out of the female's bathroom and charged into the crowd of people. She had already wasted enough time without results in the restroom, and needed to catch up as soon as possible.

Eyes were already glaring at her as she tore her way through the crowd, but she didn't care. She wasn't planning on risking Daniel's safety and possibly life, not on the first day that they had actually managed to bond and have a real conversation, it wasn't going to happen.

She tried to telepathically track Daniel and his friends, but the noise and everything couldn't let her concentrate. She could tell they weren't in the bathroom any longer, and their magic traces were faint and almost untraceable. It was almost as if they were outside the school and she immediately found herself inside an empty classroom and teleported herself away from school.

Angus teleported the three of them out of school. He was tired of hiding and feeling uncomfortable, and it was best if they were away from their source of discomfort. They had managed to shake the man off their tail and he had immediately teleported them away the moment he felt that no one was watching.

The three of them were now in a parking garage for the school staff. It wasn't inside the main school premises, and it was more hidden than most of the of the school's infrastructures. Their stalker was a new student, and probably didn't know anything about here, and if they managed to suppress their magical aura, they might actually leave her without being traced.

However that dream was shortlived. The person they thought they had just escaped from stood right in front of them, looking as if he had expected them to escape to the garage in the first place.

Angus made a protective stance in front of his two friends, he didn't know what this man was up to or what his plans were, but he wasn't going to stand and watch him have his way. Everyone of them already knew the man was after Daniel, and as inexperienced as Daniel was in the art of sorcery, going after him was relatively easy.

"What do you want?" Angus questioned. He could tell that this man was a powerful foe, so he hoped that his threatening stares and his bold attitude would scare the man a little. It was easy to make out that he was a member of the Stigma Brother's from his pure aura. He intended to use it as an intimidation factor against their opponent. Every faction of the sorcery world was always cautious of The Brothers of Stigma.

Carlos already knew of this boy, the last of the Brothers of Stigma. He was aware of how Jeffery had slaughtered the others, and had left him only because he wasn't present at the time of the massacre. He had his Intel on how undeveloped the boys powers were, but he was weary of some sort of weapon the boy possessed.

He wasn't aware what type of weapon it was, and what it could do. But Manuel had given him a stern warning about it, and Manuel's words were not to be taken for granted.

He smiled at the boys attempt to be brave, but he wasn't interested in him for now. He would have loved to see this weapon that even Manuel feared, but first things first. The e Elders still had plans for him, but their plans weren't his main priority for now. What they wanted now was Daniel and he wasn't planning on leaving until he got what he came for.

Richard stood out beside Angus and made his own stance. He was already aware that this man was from his own faction. And even though their rules stated that you didn't shed the blood of your clan members, Richard couldn't just stand aside and watch some psycho come after his best friend.

"Step aside Hardwood, I don't want you involved in this" Carlos adviced the young man beside his target.

Richard froze at the mention of his name, he knew the man was an Infernal Judgement, but he wasn't familiar with this man. His family was famous and it was obvious that this man knew of his family. He had no idea who this man was, but he could tell the man was powerful and meant trouble.

"You know the rules don't you?" Richard questioned. If this man was truly an Infernal Judgement, then he should know that that harming another was against the rules.

"We made those rules, I'm pretty sure I can bend them if I Will" Carlos replied folding up his sleeves. "Besides, your family isn't that important any longer"

Richard momentarily lost control of his thoughts after hearing Carlo's words. The Elders were the only people who made the rules that governed the entire Infernal Judgement community. Carlos's words just implied that he was an Elder.

Richard's confidence and strength dropped immediately. If this man was an Elder, then they had absolutely no chance of winning. They were in big trouble and it would be best if they ran away than fight back. He didn't know what an Elder would be doing in their school, and specifically be after Daniel, but he could already guess it had something to do with the book.

Richard telepathically delivered the message he had in his head to his friends, and alerted them of the danger they faced. hmHe could already see the change in their expression and composure, and he couldn't blame them for being afraid. They had every right to be scared, an Elder was no joke and the three of them were aware of that.

Daniel immediately tried to teleport them out of the garage, but nothing was happening. He could feel power leaving him, but his spells still remained ineffective. Something was wrong somewhere and he could tell that this man was behind it all.

"It's no use trying to escape, no one leaves the school premises until my spell is down." Carlos informed.

Dark runes had crawled their way onto the man's arms and everyone could tell that they didn't mean good.

Angus prepared his spell and so did his two friends. They weren't planning on going down without a fight even if it was against an elder.

Angus struck first, sending forth two powerful electric bolts towards their opponent, followed by a dark orb from Richard and a fireball from Daniel. The three of them had been working on their teamwork, and even though it wasn't going so good, they were doing their best.

The trio watched as their attacks struck and wear off without dealing any damage to their enemy . A wicked was smile plastered on Carlos's face, and it mocked them of how weak they were.

Angus felt rage wash through him and he had began tracing the Lance unconsciously. He was however stopped by Daniel before the weapon could fully materialize.

They all knew that Angus wouldn't last long anytime he made use of this lance, and if by chance he failed to defeat this man within the few minutes he was going to be conscious, then they were done for.

They had all watched their attack wash over the man without even leaving s scratch, reducing their number to two would only worsen the case. They needed him awake more than anything, he was the strongest amongst them and there was no hiding it. If he went down, then he and Richard might be in trouble.

Anna heard the explosions from the parking garage and had immediately conjured up a sound nullifying barrier around the place. She was aware that some people had already heard the explosion and it wouldn't be long before everyone came rushing towards the direction. She zoomed off towards the fight scene, only to meet the trio being pushed back by the new intake.

She felt the intense power coming from him, and it almost crippled her. She managed to stand, and without much hesitation, she attacked from behind. Vines erupted from concrete floor and tied Carlos down. All that was left now was for one of the trio to launch an attack at the now open man.
