Arissa was speechless when she heard those words from Nicklaus. The tiny annoyance in her disappeared, and she hugged Nicklaus with all she had.
"But I'm already involved," she said softly, kissing underneath his arm.
Nicklaus chuckled, "Yes you are. However, you're not deeply involved yet and that's why I'm trying my best to pull you out. I want us to live as normal couples," he mentioned.
Arissa pulled her face off Nicklaus's chest. Crossing her right leg over his legs, she asked, "What makes you think you'll be asked to marry the Lin heiress to get the shares?"
Nicklaus smiled and brushed a finger against the bridge of her nose. Arissa smiled back and he leaned in closer to her face. Peaking the side of her lips briefly, he dropped another one beside her ear and leaned away.
