Mrs. Wyatt ran her fingers through Arissa's hair, gently massaging it as she hummed a soft tune.
The more she hummed, the more Arissa's face became softer. When Arissa's expression turned comfortably soft and like one in a deep slumber, she reached for her phone and dialed Nicklaus's number.
"Arissa is fast asleep, please come and take her to the room to lie properly," she said the moment the call connected. She kept her words straight and hung up immediately.
At the other end, Nicklaus placed the files he was holding to review on the desk and walked towards the door of his study.
"I'll be back in a few minutes," he said to Mr. Wyatt as he walked towards the door. He reached for the doorknob and walked out of the study.
Mr. Wyatt nodded, "It's fine," he said behind Nicklaus. Not that Nicklaus heard as he was already long gone, using fast strides.
