Arissa stepped into the ward with a brighter expression as she walked into the ward through the door.
Stephen stood behind the couple, still scared of how to face his daughter after all these years and in disbelief. He felt feverish in his head and sensed it running down his spine.
The chatter in the ward reduced and Stephen fixed his gaze softly on Jocelyn. He felt no resemblance and connection and decided to shift it.
Taking it off Jocelyn, his gaze fell on Adele and his body jolted like someone electrocuted. His heart stilled and the world around him ceased to exist at that moment.
Adele's eyes were also fixed on Stephen. His gaze was filled with shock, love, and more terrifying emotions like regret. Adele stared at him out of curiosity but she couldn't figure out what caused her to stare longer.
Even when the man walked directly towards her, she did not notice how close he was to her until she felt his hand on her face.
