Arissa walked down the staircase all freshened up in a new shirt that belongs to Nicklaus.
She held Blu. tightly secured in her arms and with furrowed brows, she searched for Nicklaus around the house.
He wasn't in the nursery when she dressed up and he wasn't in his room either when she went in there. Now, where would he be?
She gave her hair a light scratch as she climbed down the last stair. Her brow shot up when she saw a coffee mug on his piano bench.
"Thank Goodness," she muttered realizing he was still home. She took a lot of time to freshen up because she spent a few minutes crying and she also had to touch her eyes a little to hide all evidence of her tears.
She kissed Blu. fur and dropped the cat on the floor to roam about the house. Blu. was already used to all corners of the house after the few days she spent with Rue. Also, Nicklaus said he doesn't like the cat.
