Arissa's phone on her lap vibrated, indicating a coming call. Closing her laptop, she turned her phone upward to know the caller.
A hearted smile covered her face when she saw it was Collins and without wasting a second more, she swiped to the answer signal.
"Arissa," Collins breathed from the other end. He sounded a bit tired which made Arissa raise her brow.
"Just finished an operation?" she asked casually, giving him all of her attention as she was happy hearing his voice.
"Hmm," Collins replied, his voice as gentle as always, "A major one. Sorry, I've been busy these past few days. How have you been?"
Arissa smiled. She was the nonchalant dumbass who was supposed to check on him but she never did until he called her first after a stressful day. Somehow, he reminded her of Richard. Richard would always make out time for her but it seems not anymore because he wasn't even answering her calls not to talk about calling her.
