The group went silent after that, it didn't look like they considered that possibility, or if they did, they didn't want to voice it. People could only be so selfless without starting to look dumb. It is fine to help people now and then, but if you do that to all strangers that you meet, you will only become a convenient tool. At least, that was what Sigma was thinking… he was acting out of his own convenience, but he knew that he was helping people by killing demons and monsters. That was making the continent safer, and that was enough for him when it comes to helping strangers. More than that would be counter productive to his goal.
"That certainly is an option… but you don't have to decide it now," Ed added. "Let's finish this journey and see what will be the best option for the group."
