"No, she isn't," answered Zander after he knelt down to check Fiona's pulse. "She's out cold though and it doesn't look like she'll be waking up anytime soon."
He put his fingertips at the jugular vein on the side of her neck, pressed gently and felt it beat strongly.
Zander shook his head, he still hadn't fully recovered from nearly being blinded by lightning.
Every now and again he felt a throbbing pain in the peripheral of his eyes especially from the strain of seeing bright light flashing so suddenly.
"Check out the ring on her finger," said Liem in shock as he pointed to her right hand.
"Interesting," replied Zander.
As he turned his attention to the direction Liem was pointing and picked up the woman's right hand to closely inspect what had Liem so excited.
Normally jewelry held no interest for Zander but as a dragon he couldn't help but covet something else and was not as immune as he wished to dragon traits.
