Sloan, tall, and skinny as a flagpole, was trembling like a leaf to tell the master of the castle that they had lost sight of his wife. "I didn't believe it myself but one of the hunters claimed to have seen your wife running in the opposite direction towards the mountains."
"Why would Fiona disobey me and leave the castle?" questioned Tiamat de Thorton slowly as he digested the news of his missing wife. "what madness possessed her?"
He felt drained and perplexed.
Tiamat could barely remember his wedding night, he was still in recovery from his illness and now this, how had she escaped the castle without the guards noticing?
"She left in the dead of the night during a shift change but that is not all master," he said while panting, surprised that his master was taking the news of his wife's disappearance extremely well.
