Shijie, who had fallen asleep in peace after having warm tea, suddenly felt a quake as his eyes jolted awake. He looked around in alarm and his eyes mellowed seeing Ruyan in front of him.
"Master, wake up! You have to attend the banquet!" Ruyan said as she tugged at Shijie's arm and pulled him weakly towards her urging him to wake up.
Shijie pulled his arm back from Ruyan's grasp and yawned. He then looked at her with drowsy eyes and asked, "What's the time?"
"It's evening! Please hurry, you must get ready for the banquet!" Ruyan pleaded tensely as she stepped back from the table.
Suddenly, Shijie's eyes opened wide as he remembered the banquet. He then hurriedly stood up, looking around and seeing that the outside sky was gleaming in the twilight's orange as well as the night's darkness.
