"I'm sorry that I stood you up today." She fretted as he drove her home. She was really looking forward to their date.
"We could always set another one." He shrugs. "And besides, me and you, on a high place, talking about your likes, with a coffee in both our hands..." He looks her way with an enamoring smile on his lips, "Pretty much sounds like a fulfilled date to me," That's how he really felt, even though he had no idea why such simpleness felt fulfilling.
"Thank you, I promise I'll make it up to you, I swear" Her eyes suddenly shot up with absolute determination, her fists clenched tightly at her chest level, her lips pressed together, and he chuckled at the sudden burst of enthusiasm that was oozing all around her.
"I'll take you out, tomorrow, I have the morning shift, and it ends by two in the afternoon, and I don't have classes. I promise to take YOU, on a date, and I'll make up for keeping you waiting, and for the coffee, and the free ride."
