"White?" Her heart skipped at the sound of his voice. ``He picked!`` She said in her head, slightly glancing at Roxy who stood behind her phone so as not to show in the video.
"H_ Hey," She stutters, trying not to look at his face on the screen, trying to focus on the camera. She was scared he'd figure out her thoughts if their eyes met.
"Hey, I can't see you clearly, the sun's getting in your face." He says. "Is there a shade around you? Where you can stand under?"
"uhm," She could see Roxy telling her with every muscle in her body to ask him the question. Cringing her nose and bending her neck and mouth weirdly like someone trying to give signals in an exam hall.
