Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Baran and Ana waited for the requests to arrive and the publicist tried to disguise the insosure of being in a place like that. When the girl warned me she'd choose the place, in his head it would be a restaurant serving healthy food. However, when she stopped at the address she passed, she came across a burger shop that served only crap as a meal. Of course he also ate once every... dunno. .. 6 months, a fast food, but never in the middle of lunch time.

Ana looked at Baran's expression and tried to hold on to the laughter. She knew the man imagined a restaurant with real food and should be horrified by having fries with hamburger soda.

And then... Mr . Baran, tell me what happened to you this morning, besides almost hitting me?

Baran was trying to decipher the expression in that girl's eyes. With that mess in the morning, he hadn't noticed her face right. But she had a look at who loved being challenged and even though she was a blackmailer, she appeared to be much more adult than the age she spoke of on the way to the restaurant.

-Do you go to journalism or psychology school? "Asked and she laughed as she heard the question.

"Are you always this boring? I mean, from the moment we met, you were rude, rude and, honestly, without being funny that I noticed that doesn't suit you very much.

Baran was speechless. For every sentence he spoke, she had an answer.

"You are very direct to someone so young.

Ana realized within minutes that that man was going through some trouble. Samia said she had an intuitive side, that she understood when someone was sad and in trouble. Her mother imagined she was going to do psychology, but she ended up choosing journalism. But that uneducated stranger, he was nice, there was something that intrigued her.

"Age doesn't mean anything. There are so many people older than mine and even yours, with zero maturity.

The conversation was interrupted by the arrival of the orders and Baran was surprised by the size of her burger. While he ordered a simple chicken the girl must have ordered the biggest one on the menu.

"Are you just going to eat this sandwich and this tasteless juice? " Ana pointed to the green juice that Baran had ordered.

"I don't know about you, but I intend to live a long time yet and that means eating healthy food and avoiding fried foods and sweets.

The two ate in silence for a while, until Ana who could not remain silent asked again what had happened to Baran.

So Mr . Baran, can you tell me now? You've already ate and I'm sure your bad mood must have subsided by about 50%. Tell me your problem and I'll tell you my joy today.

Baran noticed the change in her eyes. His eyes sparkled as he talked about his first day in college. He came back a few good years ago, when at 19 he entered university, after serving in the army for a few months. The sister was small and her father was retiring when Baran decided to leave home in Mardin.

The father, Mr. Firat, was a retired banker and Mother Banu, a housewife who lived for her children and family, and Leyla was just over 10. The publicist got a place in one of the colleges, more popular at the time, worked in up to 3 jobs and as soon as he graduated at the age of 23. He got a job at an advertising and advertising agency and that's where he met his friend and partner, Kerem.

Back in the present, Baran paid attention to everything, it was as if he was hypnotized by her. Ana said that her friends - that he couldn't record the names - were worried about her being late and that Samia didn't want to let her get into his car, which is why she got in like that before her friend stopped her.

After 15 minutes and narrating his epic day, he realized that Baran listened quietly.

"So, Mr . Baran... I told you about my first day, and now you can vent. Tell him I hear you. I know I can even talk too much, but I also know how to be a good listener.

Baran thought of a bad answer, but the former college blackmailer ended up leaving a company, nicer than he expected.

"After all your excitement, I don't know if telling me my problems is going to change anything— Baran wouldn't open up as much to a girl less old than his.

I work at an ad agency. I had a bad morning because of a project that we would take over, but I found out later that I left my bracelet in repair, that my competitor had taken the campaign. Well, that's it and that's it. I don't have that much to tell you.

Ana realized that he was hiding something, that she had not revealed everything she really felt, and she, because she did not have such intimacy, would not be inconvenient to ask.

"So, Miss Ana, what do your parents work with? — Baran asked the girl who answered without realizing that he was interrogating her.

"My mother is an insurance salesman and my father is an accountant in a company. "It wasn't until he answered that he remembered the little lie he had told him to get him a ride.

"Don't worry, I won't say anything and you're still a college blackmailer to me. But in the end, your company was even pleasant. I could forget that, for a few minutes, my problems and now we need to go back and get your bracelet. It's late and I need to get back to work and I believe your mother should be worried about you.

The conversation with Baran was so good that the girl forgot to take her cell phone out of the silencer and when she remembered to pick up the bag, she found 20 missed calls, half her mother and the other half of her friend. I didn't even want to look at Whats' group for fear of reading what their friends had sent.

Ana, where are you? Your mother called me and I made up that you'd already gone home, pay attention to the schedule.

Samia should be desperate and Elçin didn't stay behind in giving a sermon to her friend.

Girl, if you're kidnapped by some mobster who wants to take some organ from you, I swear I'll come after you wherever you are. Pay attention to the trouble you're getting us into.

Elçin was the most quarrelsome and barred. Ana just sent a happy face Emoji, then would make a video call with the two.

"By your expression, your parents must be concerned about you. Wait for me here, I'll pay for our lunch and I'll drop you off at the jewelry house and by now your bracelet must be fixed.

The young woman needed to make up some excuse for her mother who would probably leave her grounded. The girl's luck was that her mother, even though she was a saleswoman and living in the modern era, she abomined social networks and no one could understand how she, without at least one WhatsApp, sold more than all the insurance saleswomen at half her age.

Baran returned, called the young woman and together they went to his car. The publicist started and quietly went to the workshop. When parking, Baran warned that he would not go down, the repair was paid and he needed to get back to work.

"All right, you've done a lot for me and thank you for lunch, and I'm sorry for the little lie I told you about my father. In the end, if I were honest, you wouldn't be lucky enough to spend a few minutes by my side.

Baran smiled at what she said and eventually agreed.

"All right, miss. At the end of the day, our little problem ended up distracting me from what I'm going through.

Baran took his card holder that he had left in the glove compartment and took out a business card.

"Here's my card. If you need anything about college and I can help you, you can call me. You're a smart girl and from the little we talked about, I'm sure you'll have a bright future ahead of you.

Ana took the card from his hand and saw his name written Baran Divit. She then realized that she told almost everything about her life and that he had barely talked about her problem. She didn't even ask if he was married, single or age. He did not appear to be more than 30 years old and curiously asked:

"Before I go down, I want to tell you that you can call me Ana. I didn't ask your age or your marital status. It's just that you know how it is, you gave me your card, but I'll call you at an inappropriate time. And if my mother dares to dream that I met a committed man, I'm dead meat.

"You don't have to worry. I'm not married, I don't have kids and my age is 36. Now I've answered your little interview and I really need to go. Again thank you for the minutes of your company and be careful when walking around listening to music in the heights. I was nice to you and ended up buying your blackmail, but not all men can be like me.

Ana said goodbye by giving the publicist a kiss again and warned that she would call him not just to talk about college, but to find out how he was doing.

She got out of the car and Baran waited for her to enter the jewelry store, started the car and went to work.
