Lyria woke up a little groggy but relaxed. She felt a presence in front of her and saw Noah laying with her.
"Noah, what are you doing?" She tried to wake him but he wouldn't move. She didn't feel like she was in danger and thought it felt nice to be held.
She wiggled out of Noah's embrace and went to hunt some prey for breakfast. An hour later she was back and making breakfast.
Ethan finally showed up as well.
"You both ready to go?"
"Not yet. Noah is still asleep and we haven't eaten yet."
"Noah get up." Ethan kicked Noah's legs making him wake up.
"I'm up," Noah mumbled as he stretched.
"Good come eat so we can leave," Lyria told him
Ethan was surprised to see a female cooking and helping a male.
"Do you do this all the time?"
"What?"
"Cook and take care of others?"
"Not all the time but from time to time, yeah."
"It must be nice." He said this while looking at Noah happily eating.
"I guess." Lyria has been doing this for a while so it was the norm for her.
"Try hunting and running with her. It's an amazing experience that you can't get enough of." Noah finished his food and took Lyria's empty bowl to go clean it.
"Are there a lot of wounded? I wasn't going to bring too much with me but if a lot of males need it I'll bring more."
"Bring what you have and assess the situation. If you need more send Noah to get more."
"Okay." Lyria got ready. She put on the spidersilk she made and grabbed her bag with the medicine.
After Noah got back all three of them walked to the army campsite.
There were tents and campfires everywhere, and lots of beastmen walking around.
Lyria's eyes went wide in fright and she took a couple steps back. Noah noticed and grabbed her hand.
"It's gonna be okay. Ethan is the general and I'm sure he won't let anything happen to you, and neither will I."
"There's so many. I-I can't." Lyria whispered
"Where your going is at the back away from most of the males. You're only here to help the wounded and then you can go back, okay." Ethan grabbed her other hand and slowly pulled her to walk around the campsite.
Many beastmen looked but didn't say anything. Lyria looked down so she wouldn't chance looking at any of the males.
"You're squeezing my hand pretty hard Lyria," Ethan said as he stopped in front of a large tent. "This is the healer's tent." He pulled back a flap and you could smell the blood and herbs as well as hear the moans of pain.
"Ethan can you gather food like last time so I can take it to the females don't worry I'm just going to drop it off and come back this time."
"Yeah. I'll see you tonight then."
"Come on Noah I'll need your help." Noah and Lyria went to work helping where they could. They spent all day tending to the wounded and when night came Ethan lead them back so Lyria could give food to the females stuck in Blackmist.
When she got back, she was so drained she collapsed into a deep sleep.
The two males were worried about her but let her be.
Ethan wanted to get more involved with the little female but he had a duty as the general.
Noah went and laid down with Lyria. Ethan felt jealous towards Noah's actions.
"What are you doing?" Ethan whispered to Noah.
"She sleeps better when someone is laying with her." The way he said it made Ethan even more upset.
"Doesn't it excite you to be next to her like that? Aren't you worried you'll hurt her?"
"It does but then I remember her crying in her sleep and how terrified she was. All I want is to comfort her and make her feel as safe as possible, plus I'm too tired to try anything."
Ethan looked at the little female as she snuggled further into Noah's arms. If it's for her wellbeing he can let it go.
Ethan flew back to his tent and tried to get some sleep as well, but all he could think was the little female snuggled up to Noah. It's going to be a sleepless night for Ethan.
