Chapter 85 - Chapter 84

The next morning the sight of Noah hugging her didn't even bother her.

She hunted and made breakfast before putting on her spidersilk and heading for the army camp leaving a bowl for Noah as well.

Ethan spotted her more than halfway to the camp and landed next to her.

"Heading to the healer's tent?"

"Yeah I'll check on them now and tonight, but I need to get started on the perimeter around Blackmist."

"Right, I almost forgot about that."

Ethan led her to the healer's tent so she can check on the wounded before being led near the forest edge so she can start the perimeter underground.

They had to walk through the campsite and everyone was staring.

"I'll leave you here but I won't be far I just need to discuss some things with the other leaders."

"Okay." She said that but she was still terrified.

Lyria sat down, bit her finger so her blood can mix with nature, and began.

All the beastmen that were around were surprised to see a female so close to the war zone. They were even more confused when she sat down and a straight line of fresh grass bloomed all the way down to the forest.

Ethan got everyone's attention. "This is a priestess that will be helping us. Whenever she is sitting here like this, under no circumstance should she be touched, and when you see her around the camp do not approach her, am I understood." Ethan gave a mighty roar so all could hear his words.

"Yes sir!" Everyone roared back and went back to their assigned tasks.

Noah showed up later. "You're late. Lyria has already started her tasks. You going to let a female out do you?" Ethan saw a chance to tease Noah and took it.

"You're right I can't allow that. Is there anything I can do here?"

"You'll have to start with the basics. I'll personally train you."

Noah was not happy to hear this.

The males spent all day training and going through the basics while Lyria sat in one spot all day.

Lyria finally disconnect from nature, got up, and instantly saw Ethan demanding something of Noah.

She cleared her throat loudly to get their attention. Ethan stopped yelling and looked up.

"Walk with me please." Ethan nodded and they follow the newly grown grass.

"Do you see the grass?" She pointed down and stopped at an intersection. "This is where it'll start. I've made it go several feet underground so now I need to make it stretch all the way around. By morning a thin branch will grow out of the ground. When there are large amounts of movements one or two of these branches will start to shake. Now I'm tired and want to rest, do you have food for the females? After I'm done with the perimeter the females should have enough strength for me to rescue them." She started to sway a little.

"Yes I have got it ready, but you should eat first and rest a moment."

"No, I need to finish." Her words were sluggish and weren't very loud.

Ethan knew she exhausted herself so he lifted her up and carried her back to his tent.

"I'm fine Ethan."

"Rest Lyria. We need you to take care of yourself so rest and I'll wake you when dinner is ready."

Lyria had already fallen asleep before he finished speaking. He couldn't see her eyes but he knew she was asleep.

Ethan laid her down in his bed before getting dinner.

A little more than an hour later he was shaking Lyria awake to eat.

"Go away, I don't want to."

Ethan chuckled at her cuteness. "It's time to eat cuteness." He poked her nose.

She giggled at him. "Nice, I like it." She looked at Ethan then got up.

"So right before you finished connecting with nature Noah and I were talking about you staying here in my tent and Noah staying close by but with the other worriers. Noah said no that you guys were good there but I think this is better instead of walking back and forth like that." He looked a little embarrassed while he spoke.

"I don't mind the walk and I'm still uncomfortable around so many males. It would be easier to get to the healer's tent, but are you sure you want me around? Won't a female be too much to have around?" This embarrassed Lyria since she meant it would cause too much sexual frustration. She still didn't know him well but he didn't seem too bad and they had a common enemy. "Promise you won't take advantage of me."

Ethan got down on one knee, took her hand, and kissed it, "I promise to always protect you. Whatever you want, you'll have." Lyria's whole face lit up bright red, thankfully he couldn't see her because of the spidersilk.

She nodded her head, "Thank you, I'll stay here with you then." Ethan got up.

"When you're ready to go feed the females I'll have your things gathered."

"Okay."

Lyria finished eating and they went to find Noah together the males packed up the little campsite and Lyria went to send the food to the females. She had to take off the spidersilk since it was too noticeable and put on the smaller veil instead. The males waited for her to come back so she could cover up again.

It didn't take long for Lyria to come back and when she did they all left.

"Any new news?"

"Nothing. Makes me think I really need to hurry with the perimeter. Those other priests need to hurry."

"We'll support you however we can," Noah said.

"Thanks guys."

They made it back to the tent and went in.

"Lyria you need me to stay with you?"

"No I think I'll be fine okay, thank you, Noah." Lyria patted his shoulder. She walked off. Took off her spidersilk rinsed her face and crawled into bed.

"Sweet dreams you two," Lyria whispered. Both males wanted to be close to her but instead, both went out of the tent and guarded it. The last thing Lyria needed was two horny males near her.
