Lyria's POV
I felt the pain over my entire body from the rough movements.
'What happened?'
Next, I hear crying and laughing.
"Huh uhh," I tried to open my eyes but the light was bright. I have so little energy I can barely move my head to see what's happening.
"Lyria are you awake?" The voice next to me sounds familiar, who is it?
"Aaaaaa-uuu-wwwaaaa," I tried my best to speak but my throat is so dry, forming words is difficult.
"Thank goodness. You've been asleep for three days and nights I was afraid you weren't going to wake up at all. You must be thirsty, here try to take slow swallows, we don't get much water."
The female next to me puts something cold to my lips and water flows into my mouth quenching my thirst. I tried not to drink too fast and stopped once I felt better.
"Who are you? The lights to bright and I can't see clearly."
"It's me, Lily."
Lily came with her mother to the weekly female meetings. She's on the shy side but is also very beautiful for a young female. Her mother was my mother's rival.
"Lily, what happened."
"The shelter was attacked as soon as the doors were closed. Then we were either knocked out, killed if we fought too much, or tied up. When we were outside of the village a bear brought you over already knocked out. You were very badly wounded and I did my best to clean up your wounds but I'm not very good at this and the rogues don't care what state we're in. Most of the females are awake and cry most of the time. They split us up into groups. The young ones that can't be touched because we haven't had our first bleed yet are at the front, and the older ones are at the back. At night you hear them screaming and begging for them to stop. Lyria I'm so scared." I may not be able to see her but I know she's crying. I weakly move my hand to hers.
"We'll survive, Lily. It'll be hard but, we will fight to survive. Keep watching our surroundings, memorize them, and never forget it."
"Do you have a plan?" Lily's voice sounded hopeful but I can't even move let alone think, with all the pain I'm feeling.
"Sorry Lily I don't but it'll be good if someone were to remember just in case."
"I understand." There it is, the disappointment. I let her hand go and concentrate on healing.
The next two days were agonizing. We were being dragged on some logs that were tied together and pulled by slaves in beast form. The slave that pulled us was in charge of our care and there were five other females with me. A gorilla beastman they called Silver pulled us. Lily was right, at night the older females were raped by most of the males here except the slaves. We would huddle together and sleep together. Lily would help me the best she could as well as the others. I never would have thought the other females would be this considerate.
The rogues in front started to howl in excitement and I could tell it was because we were close to their village.
I'll stay quiet for now and observe. I will escape this place but I need to be patient.
"We're almost home everyone."
"This will be your new home, little females." I heard a voice not far behind us. I glance over and saw the disgusting look on the rogue's face as he looked at us hungrily.
A shiver went down my back. I'll have to be careful around everyone. These beasts don't look at females the way males are supposed to.
I look back down. Thankfully I still had both of my bags with me. Females are docile and greedy creatures. If I'm allowed to keep my things, then I should be able to escape sooner. I'll have to wait and be patient. Even through all the hardships that I know I'll face.
From the top of the hill we're on, you can see a thick fog completely covering the forest. Without much sunlight how do the trees look so lively are there other plants that are growing?
Lily had been secretly watching Lyria ever since she woke up. She was surprised to see her look a little excited when she saw the forest and it made her angry.
"What is wrong with you? We're about to enter hell and your smiling. How's that possible? What is there to be happy about." Lyria was taken aback by Lily's outburst. She was too shocked to respond. Lily got even angrier.
"Answer me?" She screamed again.
"Silver shut her up." He stopped moving and was about to move toward Lily.
"The plants," Lyria whispered. Lily looked confused.
Lyria continued, "How do the plants live without much sunlight, I'm curious to know. Are all the plants shadow plants, if so what medicinal properties do they have? We didn't have a lot of shadow plants in the valley so I'm very curious to know." Lyria had a quizzical look in her eyes. She meant every word. Because of this, she had no fear as they got closer to hell.
Lily couldn't believe this female. "I knew you were different from the rest of the females but I didn't think it was this bad." Lily quiet down and went back to sulking and crying silently.
Silver also went back to pulling us. He kept looking back watching the odd female.
Once they made it into the forest, Lyria bit her finger and left a trail of blood. Whenever the bleeding stopped, she'd bite her finger again. There's a secrete in her blood that no one knows about. This will later help her with her escape.
Silver noticed this but didn't say anything or stop her. He became interested in what she was doing but never forgot his place.
