This issue was a major problem for Yang Rai. The number of Glyphs he had to use was just insanely massive in number. Seeing the issue first hand He re-prioritized the advancement of his glyphs all to the T7 R1. It took him a couple of months but he managed to finish the process. He then tried to use rank 2 resources. Something odd happened when he tried this.
Yang Rai was attempting to fuse rank 2 materials into his glyphs. He didn't realize until several tries later that the glyphs were not ready for rank 2 resources. This confused him greatly at first and then he had an idea. Just to confirm again that he had to absorb the rank 1s into the glyphs. He split some apart and tried to fuse the rank 2 resources into them. It didn't work. Then he tried ranks 3, 4 and even 5. He had to be thorough. None of them worked. When he learned of this development. He decided to take the long way. He began recovering his glyphs back up to his maximum number of 4,782,969 glyphs then ranking them all up to T7 R1.
Yang Rai decided to wait it out. So in the meantime he went back to dealing with the gourd vine. This one was far easier to manage dealing with. Than the other trees he had. This was a result of it being a set of 7 and also having an intelligent will. It was far more efficient with its energy usage than the trees.
"I have to say for an Emperor Realm you're quite the formidable force."
"So did you learn anything from the examples?"
"I think so. But I'll need your help to manage to pull it off."
"Of course. What will you need from me?"
"Can you give me some of those glyphs you've been using? I believe they hold the key."
"Sure not a problem."
Yang Rai gives the Glyphs into the gourd vine. It begins to grow longer and more powerful. It didn't take nearly as many since the vine already had a stable foundation and source. This cemented the reason why the trees required an insane amount of glyphs. Maybe I should have some of the sources I'll collect inhabit the trees themselves. That might be able to lessen the number of glyphs I need to use. Either way though it seems I need to worry quite a bit when I create the higher rank trees. Just how many glyphs will they take?
The gourd vine finished its transformation and began to grow an additional set of yin and yang resources. It also learned something valuable about the glyphs that Yang Rai might find interesting.
"Yang Rai, have you tried to absorb another set of rank 1 materials into the glyphs yet?"
"No, I didn't think of that. I guess I should try to do it then."
"I suspect you'll need a lot of resources in the future."
"Should it work that way then yes. I wonder how it will turn out."
